Good option if you don’t want pills/teas.
I decided to try this liquid form of Mullein Leaf extract for my mild to moderate asthma symptoms. I have recently been trying the tea occasionally and the extract in supplement form with good results. The gummy supplement had 1000 mg mullein, the same as this supplement. The ratio of glycerin to mullein is 15 to 1. Not sure how many mg of glycerin are in this for sure. I do know the taste is very sweet, similar to agave in taste and texture, but seemed to make my head spin a little. While glycerin is low glycemic with a rating of 5, glycerin still has 12-15 grams of carbs per Tablespoon while sugar has 15. It is more calorie dense than sugar and has 66 calories as opposed to 60 in sugar which they don’t mention on the bottle. Even though it is a sugar alcohol, it seems to affect me somewhat negatively in this quantity. I may have the math incorrect for this particular product, though. It says to take 2-3 times a day with food. It can be diluted in water or juice, but I feel it’s best taken in a Tablespoon like medicine. One serving gives you 1000mg of mullein which is a typical dose in other lung products or in a bag of tea. You can store it in a cool, dry place. Glycerin is generally safe, but may cause a laxative effect, water retention, or dehydration if too much is taken. For those who don’t enjoy pills or tea, this product may be a good fit. For me, I felt it increased my blood pressure and heart rate, so I’d rather get my dose from the tea or a capsule supplement.

Great Stuff For Lung Issues, Tastes Pretty Good Too
One of the things I learned a while ago is that when it comes to lungs, few things work like mullein. Having a supply in the house all of the time is essential for me. HOW THIS COMES This comes in a large bottle with a seal on it. It is plastic. FLAVOR This is a nice pleasant flavor. I don't mind the flavor of mullein, so it does not bother me, but the glycerine adds a sweetness that is not overly gagging, but makes it easier to take some days. DOES IT HELP? I had an issue one day when I got into some windy areas where mold was blowing around and I needed a lung boost. I took the mullein and within a day it was settled right down way quicker than it would have been otherwise. DOES IT NEED REFRIGERATION? This just says to store it in a cool dry place- another great feature. Does not need refrigeration unless you are in a very warm area with no dry basement. THE BOTTOM LINE This helps a lot with lung issues. It tastes pretty good and is easy to take. MY RATING FIVE STARS. I would consider a repurchase of this. I find it handy to have around and this form makes it easier to take too.

Excellent Mullein Leaf Extract Syrup
As far as I can tell I think this is an excellent Mullein Leaf Extract product. It's like taking a tablespoon of sweetened cough syrup and tastes fine. I've brewed a lot of Mullein Leaf tea because I just want to keep my lungs as healthy as possible with all the pollen and stuff going around. So far I've felt fine and breathing is clear as a bell. I think this is a very good product for the lungs.

Good ingredients, but didn’t work for me
5-WEEK UPDATE: I finally finished the entire bottle and now can definitively say that, aside from still really liking the taste, I have experienced no positive health/breathing benefits whatsoever from this product. (And for the very high price, I just can’t justify it as a delicious ice cream topping!) I am leaving my rating at 3 stars since this product has very few “other” ingredients (I posted a photo of the label since it is not on the product page) and some people have reported positive effects from using mullein leaf; unfortunately, I can’t count myself among them. ————————— I wanted to try this product because it claims to be a “lung detox” and provide “respiratory support.” Since I tend to get winded during moderate exercise, I hoped this would help. I used the product for more than a week before writing this review to give it a reasonable time to work (or not). Ultimately, I experienced no noticeable effects — good or bad. Tastes great: Unlike some other reviewers, I really like the taste — it has a rich, thick, unique flavor which reminds me of a combination of coffee liqueur, molasses and cough syrup (the good-tasting kind). I’ve never tasted anything quite like it, but it’s sweet and I like the flavor. (Seriously, I could drizzle this stuff on ice cream.) Limited ingredients: The only ingredients listed on the bottle are mullein leaf, organic vegetable glycerin and purified water. I like that the product contains very few “other” ingredients. Mullein is an herb which has been used since at least the 1800s as a remedy for a wide variety of ailments, including respiratory issues (cough, congestion, bronchitis, asthma, etc.). Proponents claim is has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral and antibacterial properties, but there appear to be no scientific studies or clinic trials confirming its efficacy for any particular ailment. Its main use seems to be as an expectorant (helping expel mucus from the lungs). So the real question is, does this stuff actually *do* anything or is this just old-world snake oil? Given its cough medicine-like taste, I tend to believe it might work as an expectorant; however, after more than a week of using it 2-3 times a day (as recommended on the bottle), I have not noticed any change whatsoever in my breathing. My lungs definitely do not feel either “detoxed” or “supported.” To be clear, I experienced no bad effects (other than a brief, very slight heavy feeling in my throat and chest right after taking it), but no noticeable positive effects, either (again, except that I really like the taste). The bottle says it contains 23 servings, and the directions say to take it 2-3 times a day; that means one bottle ($36.96/bottle at time of order) would last only about 8-12 days. The directions do not say whether this should be taken as a daily regimen or only as needed for specific symptoms, but whichever the case, for the price, this would be a *very* expensive daily supplement OR cough syrup. For me, the price is far too high for a product which provided no noticeable health benefits. 3 stars for good ingredients and taste, but I won’t be ordering this again.
