Vive Leg Recovery System for Athletes - Sequential Compression Device SCD Machine for Lymphedema, Air Compression Massage, Circulation, Relaxation, Swelling, Cramps, & Pain Relief

I have suffered from lymphedema in my legs for several years now. When theraputic massage began to reduce in effectiveness, it was recommended that I get a compression machine to get continued massage. the machine I had worked well for about 10 years. However, in the last 5-6 months, it began to show its age, with the machine beginning to break down on occasion and the hoses to the boots beginning to crack. In researching other machines, we found the Vive system to potentially provide the most benefit for the money. Since I've started using it, I've been very pleased with it. It provides what I need in the compression, and gives me an option as to the length of therapy cycles..10-, 20- an 30-- minute sessions. I usually do 60 minutes, so resetting the timer for another 30 minute cycle for another "go" is no problem. I would suggest that anyone considering compression treatment, give the Vive system some consideration.

I purchased this product on Amazon 3 weeks ago. So far, the device has performed flawlessly, just as advertised. Medical devices are usually grossly overpriced, but the price of this device seems very reasonable to me. I have been using it to reduce the risk of DVT and pulmonary embolism following hip replacement surgery, but I'm sure the device would work just as well for the other medical conditions mentioned in the device brochure, including lymphedema. I commend Vive Health for making this important device affordable for many patients who might not be able to afford similar devices that cost at least twice as much. The device comes with only a 60 day warranty, which may deter some potential buyers, but you may be able to get an extended warranty through Asurion if you purchase the device on Amazon. However, I just checked Amazon and the device is not currently available. I don't know the reason for this but I hope the device is still available elsewhere. Obviously I cannot attest to the long term durability of the device, but it appears to be well constructed. I am a physician and I will recommend the device to my patients who might benefit from it, even though I have no financial interest in Vive Health. SL

Bought this product at the recommendation of my podiatrist to help with lymphedema. It seemed well built, was easy to set up and worked as advertised. Didn't help my lymphedema after two weeks of daily use, unfortunately. It would probably work better on someone whose condition was not too advanced.

The unit does its job but it doesn't last long. I got about 5 use out of it before it stop holding air. I contacted customer service which was great. They were quick and replaced the unit at no cost. The second unit lasted longer. I left town for 2 weeks and came back to a dead unit. Power doesn't turn on or anything. If I could return it, I would. Luckily I got the Asurion insurance but finding the policy number is a hassle. Tell ya the truth, I rather get my money back then have an unlimited supply of crappy units.

This product is a great product! My daughter tore her ACL and was having a lot of swelling in the knee. This machine worked perfectly right out of the box for her. It cuts down on swelling right after use. We love it so much we have told others because you can’t beat the price for this product. I had her physical therapist even try it out to compare to his high dollar compression unit and it was just the same but maybe better. He said he could buy 5 of these machines for the one that he has in his practice. My son also uses the compression after having a really hard weight workouts and athletic games to cut down on soreness. And I use it too after being on my feet all day to reduce swelling and soreness. Great product!! Highly recommend! And I have been telling people all about it!!

I use a compression sleeve machine EVERY SINGLE night. I purchased this one because of the high compression up to 250 mmhz. It’s very bulky, hard to sit in it comfortably because of the wires and just overall bulkiness of the machine. The one I had and used prior to this one only goes up to 140mmhz and I don’t feel any difference between this one at the highest of 250 and my old one at 140. For the price which is almost triple it’s a bummer. I could get over the bulkiness if I felt the compression was stronger but it’s hard to over look for the price and bulkiness and how hard it is to use. Sad because I really wanted to love it.

I had some difficulty deciding whether or not to order this device.$200+ may not seem to be a lot of money, but when you're retired, on a fixed income, and trying to make sure that you have enough money to cover possible unforseen future expenses, you tend to try and make each dollar count. I am a type 2 diabetic, and have some problems with circulation in my legs, and edema around my lower legs and ankles. The reviews I read were encouraging, and with the knowledge that I could return them if they did not help me, I decided to order the device. It is unbelievable how much the device has helped improve the circulation in my legs. I try to use this twice a day for 30 minutes each time. I think today is day 4, and I can't get over how much better my legs and feet feel. This device may not be the solution for everyone, but it is certainly helping me regain the strength in my legs. It is simple to set up and use, and with the remote control, that makes it even easier. Five stars from me.
