May need a practice run, before actually installing
It was pretty easy to install, but it's hard to know exactly how many spacers you need unless you actually set it up and then put the AC in the window. Once I did that, I seen I needed one extra spacer. So I had to undo it and reinstall and then it was perfect, to the point where I didn't need any insulation or anything, it just lined up perfect. You will need a drill though

Unstable, complicated installation, requires drill
Requires drilling, instructions are confusing, and is unstable with window sills; may work okay for windows without sills, but after a lot of work to get it assembled and installed, it was flimsy and felt less stable than the bricks I had previously used

Took a long time to recieve and then missing all mounting hardware(nuts and bolts)
Like I said, this bracket took an extra week to get to me and was missing all its mounting nuts and bolts when it did arrive. Fortunately(for me), I had enough of the right length nuts and bolts in my workshop to make this bracket work without having to return it for a replacement or run to the hardware store. Just be aware that if you dont hoard nuts and bolts like I do, you may end up spending extra time and money to make this "inexpensive" bracket functional. But in that case, it isnt so inexpensive anymore, is it? Also, Im pretty sure that you'd be asking for trouble if you tried to make this bracket support 85lbs. It feels a little sketchy with just the little 5k BTU AC that Im using it for and that doesnt weigh anywhere near 85lbs. Pretty sure that most of us could construct a better AC bracket with a measuring tape, handsaw, a few screws, a screw gun(just to make the job quicker), and an 8ft length of 1/2" x 2" board. But if you're feeling lazy like I was, this will work. Its not a terrible bracket but its not great either and is significantly less than great when the mounting hardware is missing.
