Engine Camshaft Alignment Locking Timing Tool Kit

Used this unit on a 2011 Mini Cooper S and, for me, it worked flawlessly. Craftsmanship appears to be precise with very low tolerance; exactly what you need when losing out the camshaft!

I used this for my 2013 Mini Cooper base model. I hesitated to purchase this -it's a one time use sort of thing and I didn't have ready access to rent one close to me. It worked perfectly for me with easy installation, locking the camshaft snugly and solidly. I did find instructions lacking but googling and youtube can help you with this. After changing the timing chain and guides, removing the locking tool was easy, and the engine started up with no problem, and runs very sweetly.If you are an enthusiastic and careful amateur mechanic with limited financial resources, this tool is great value and will pay for itself the very first time you use it. But just be well versed in what you are getting into, and the possible downsides.

Most of my tools compete for space in a snap-on compartment and I probably paid for his daughter’s braces. You need to know when to allow Harbor Freight “does the job just fine” to enter the box. These fit great, saved money that doesn’t need to be spent, and are easy to install and remove when needed.

With most modern cars you need to buy the special alignment tool when doing timing work.I was hesitant to purchase a non big name tool. The ones from the tool truck or dealer level are so expensive though. I figured give this a try.It worked for me. Did the job that it needed to do. Everything fits in it's case for storage. I use a label maker to label the end of the case and stack it with the other ones.Save some money and use this one.

Funciona muy bien

Works well ,gets the job done however one of the locking tools must be modified to work. If you have your turbo removed no modifications are needed. Other than that it works very well
