Question 1

Is this blade (s) Negative, or Positive blade hook? I will be using this to cross-cut dado's with a Radial Arm Saw, hence i need to know the hook angle.

The blades have a positive hook. I have used it for cross cutting dado on my Sears radial arm saw and it works very well with perfect flat-bottomed slots. It is a bit "grabby", so I use it by starting the saw when it is pulled all the way towards me and then cutting on a push stroke. When cutting on a pull stroke you have to be very careful on the feed rate as it will stall the motor.

Question 2

I have a saw which has a 1 inch arbor in length and it's 5/8 in dia would this dado blade be okay to use ,my saw is a contractor saw with 3 hp motor?

Abb, I´m not sure if it would fit completely...The 5/8" diameter is OK, also the 3 hp motor. But the 1" arbor lenght wouldn´t be enough to fit all blades and shims up to 7/8, plus arbor nut and flange. You have to look if nut plus flange is bigger than 1/8" and decide.But the set is awsome.Hope I have your question cleared.

Question 3

The feature list says it has 3 2-wing chippers and 2 blades. The description says 2 blades and 5 2-wing chippers. Which is right?

Hi marshall:  The SD208 set has 2 outside saw blades and (5) two wing chippers and does dadoes from 1/4" to 13/16" in 1/16" increments. Question 4

Is there any thing I need to know about throat plates and this saw kit. Does any throat plate fit this saw kit. Are they all one size? Thanks

Hello Inforsearcher,The throat plate should be compatible with your table saw, that's the most important thing.  If you search "(your saw model number) throat plate" or " (your saw # again) zero clearance plate" you should be able to find one that works well with your saw.  Now, since you're planning on using this dado set, try to find a compatible plate that says "dado" or "dado set", it will usually have a space made for wider dado sets rather than for a regular kerf saw blade.  Hope that helps.
