I would like to ammend my original review. I could not get my aging PC to recognized the G1 drive, no matter what I tried. I was very disapponted. However, I've since discovered that the Customer Service for this vendor is exceptional. They made several attempts to guide me through the steps to find the drivers that my Windows OS could not find. Ultimately, they sent me a replacement. I'm sorry it took so long for me to update this review, but finally, I was able to make another attempt. I still had some issues with Windows 10 not being able to find the driver, but having tried the methods CS had suggested, Lo and Behold, it all came together. I was able to load directly from my PC onto the SD card easily and quickly. I'm a happy camper now and so very appreciative of the Customer Service members that were so patient. I'm not sure if the age of my PC and Win10 were behind the inability to find the driver on its own, but I suspect that is the case. I think it is still a bit more complicated than this 73+ year old needs, but it is doing what I want of it. For those more socially savvy and up-to-date on their computers and phones, it is probably perfect. I say GO FOR IT. My Initial Review: Overall, I find this device a total FAIL. I am using Win10 and Galaxy S10+ phone. There are NO drivers to be found for this innoasis G1. With some difficulty, I did get the G1 appear on my PC but it does not come with drivers, nor can any be found online so it cannot be accessed on any of my computers. I would return this, but missed the return window. IF you buy this player set it up immediately. I bought this after beginning chemo which put me in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. I wanted an MP3 player I could use separate from my phone. I was unable to set the player up while I was recovering, losing valuable time, not realizing it was going to be a regretable, expensive purchase. I've spent several weeks trying to set this player up to just be able to get music loaded. There is NO simple, direct method without the drivers needed. Attempts to get help from Customer Service has also been fruitless. As I have a substantial investment in this player, I will continue to try but in the meantime, I feel others should be warned. It may work with apple products but, otherwise, be sure to ATTEMPT SETUP WITHIN THE RETURN WINDOW. ADDENDUM: This is a total, unadulterated waste of money and time. I cannot emphasize enought DO NOT BUY THIS PLAYER. It is easily the worst I've ever encountered. I've spent hours trying to find some way to justify it's very existance. It belongs in a landfill.

I am sure that this is a really great streaming device, assuming that you are using it as a stationary one. Using it as a mobile one would be an issue, unless you have wifi all the way to where you are going. WHY would you even want a streaming device that only has wifi? The problem is the fact that you cannot install apps on this device. At all. There is no play store, and you cant even side load apk's, nothing. I am a huge fan of VLC Media Player, and my own mp3's its a no-go for this thing. Down in the description it says "It only allows for pre-saved apps, which for you is a fantastic safety element for young children", that is a cop out if I have ever heard one. Sounds allot like making a virtue of necessity. Battery life is also suspect. I fully charged it for several hours, then transferred two VLC apk's to try and install them (it failed of course), and in less than 10 minutes it was at 80% battery. The compact form factor I like, and the buttons are nice also. I do not like that you cant wake up the screen by tapping it, though to be fair you may be able to change a setting if you can figure out how, or actually find "settings", I could not. If anyone is wondering, rooting this device has been tried (not by me), and failed, as well as other solutions (also not by me) and also failed. It may be useful for you, but not for me, returned.

Since Apple stopped making the iPod touch, I’ve been casting about for a suitable replacement. I’m very pleased with this. I’ve been using it a lot since I bought mine in May. Good battery life, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions very well, and while the HiBy music player takes a little tinkering to get used to, I believe it is technically superior to my iPod. Using a guality speaker or headphones or whatever, it sounds really good, and I think you’ll be pleased with either the pre-loaded audio sound profiles, or you can use the graphic equalizer instead. Many of us still think physical media has a place, so since you can set up Windows Media player to rip your CD's and depending on the settings, I think the MP3's it generates actually sound much better than how iTunes does at ripping your CD's--to my ears anyway. Device supports up to a 1 Tb micro SD card, so storage space is not a problem. It picked up my 256 without a hiccup, and they even sent me a 64 GB card with mine. Sweet! For purchasers of these devices, know that when you buy one advertising 64 Gb. of space, they are including a 64 Gb. MicroSD card with it. The device itself only has 16 Gb. onboard memory, but since this unit is only a media player and can't access the Google Play store, this is more than enough. Stick your files on the SD card and you'll be just fine. In settings, you will notice 2 items related to device storage--one called "internal shared storage" and the other called "disk". It's an Android thing, and can help you keep your files arranged and separated. And, should you move your stuff to another Android device, if you have them on your MicroSD card, you just move the card over. Gotta love that. Has a great video player, and the other applications it comes with look to be ready to go. I suspect, like any small device, if you’re using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth at same time, you’re battery will run down quickly. Ditto if screen is running constantly. Hey--my iPod was the same way. With Chrome browser, you should be able to YouTube and stream other fun things you find on the web. Haven’t really missed a camera--yet, and I get why it doesn’t have access to the App Store. While I would be very pleased if it did, I get why they left it out. Better if you got kids, and this is no small consideration. I’m very pleased with mine. Updated 9/17/24

Update: 10/18/25 after contacting support, they shipped a replacement device and it arrived today. So far so good, works like it should and my son is happy. They shipped the same red color player that he had before so he is happy. I will update this review if it fails again. Revised from 1 star to 4, but stay tuned in case something happens. Original review 10/11/24 below: This music player was purchased for my son in April 2024. It’s a great looking device and the sound quality was excellent. Local music playback worked just fine. Streaming music from Pandora/Spotify, he experienced zero issues. Bluetooth connectivity was fine. No speed issues whatsoever. Three days ago, however, the device went completely dead (blank screen like the videos/photos submitted by others) and only lasted 6 months. Compared to some other reviews I guess we lucked out? We did the usual steps of ensuring the charging cord wasn’t damaged, resetting it and so forth but nothing seemed to get it to turn charge and turn on. It met the same fate as the other reviews that mentioned when their device just died for no reason, hence the one star review. We’ll contact product support to see if they can assist and update the review accordingly.

I have an S23 Ultra that is way too big and heavy for keeping in my pocket at the gym. I've spent a good bit of time weighing my options for a portable player that supports Spotify and has bluetooth and wifi. I've thought about smart watches, refurbished iPods, "dumb" mp3 players (maybe I can live without Spotify?). And of course, the many Chinese sub-$100 dollar devices, that all seem to have either 5 or 1 stars. I was clearly in analysis-paralysis mode, and decided to just take a flyer on this one. For $63, and hopefully returnable, what's the worst that can happen? Well, I'm glad I gambled. This thing is perfect. Form factor that's small enough to barely notice, even in my pocket on the treadmill. I was able to easily get on various wifis, connect to my bluetooth headphones, and stream my Spotify. Battery life seems OK - it can definitely go for many hours between charges. It gets a little hot when navigating with the screen on, but it's fine streaming music with the screen off. Yes, the interface is a little unusual. But I was able to learn it quickly enough. Yes, it's a little sluggish just navigating around the UI. But not too bad, and I've had no issues streaming playlists. The device is locked to just the apps listed in the specs (and apparently no option to side load). You can organize your home screen just like on any smartphone. You can delete apps, but if you realize you want an app back you'll need to factory reset. On the security front, I am a little sketched out that this device manages its own updates, and who knows what Android security is or isn't there. But because I'm just using it stream music, I'm choosing to ignore possible attack vectors by just making sure my passwords are unique to my streaming app and not shared with any other accounts. I won't be using the included Chrome browser for anything. There's also some kind of music filesharing app that you can install on your phone to share files with this device - I'll be staying away from that as well. All of that said, I want to be clear that I am not suggesting there's anything insecure with this particular device. But in today's world, you need to be extremely careful. Lastly, the included paper manual is surprisingly thorough and is written in good English. I recommend reading the manual before starting to play with the device; it's the rare case where reading the manual would have actually saved me an hour of poking around. I was not expecting this from such a cheap, practically throw-away device produced in China. I hope more companies start providing proper manuals like this one. I just started using this device so I'm leaving 5 stars for now. In case I start having glitches I'll come back and edit my review. I don't expect this thing to last many years, because who knows what becomes unsupported in some future software update or bluetooth/wifi spec change. But if I get even a year out of this, I'll be pretty happy. EDIT: I've run into a problem that a bunch of others have commented on, in that the device seems to brick itself after being fully discharged. I've had this happen too, and found the solution is to use a lower amp charger. I have a fast charger for my phone, which seems to work fine for regularly charging this MP3 player. But when it's fully discharged I find the fast charger no longer works. So I simply use one of my slower chargers and after a few minutes it has enough charge to turn on.

First off I want to say that in a vacuum the Innioasis G1 MP3 Player is is a pretty decent MP3 Player for the price. That being said the Innioasis G1 needs to compete with other MP3 Players in terms of functionality vs. cost and this is where the G1 MP3 Player in my eyes fails to deliver. The G1 MP3 Player is basically a mirror version of other 4" screen MP3 players available on Amazon such as the TIMMKOO Q5 and the Luoran M4 MP3 Players. The user experience provided by all three MP3 Players is very similar, however the G1 MP3 Player is significantly more expensive ($30 or more) compared to the Q5 and M4. I have purchased all three so my review below is a comparison of the Innioasis G1 MP3 Player to the TIMMKOO Q5 and the Luoran M4 MP3 Players. Build Comparison: All three MP3 Players incorporate a 4" LCD touch screen with a home and back capacity buttons on the bottom. All three are very similar in terms of size and thickness. All three have a power and volume up/down buttons, a small reset button, a mic input and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Both the G1 and Q5 have plastic frames though the Q5 comes in several different colors while the G1 only comes in black. The M4 is a bit more hefty in weight as Luoran choose to use an aluminum frame vs. plastic. The M4 comes in black and "Sierra Blue." To me, the best LCD screen was on the Louran M4. It's LCD screen showed colors that were more vibrant and it seemed to have the best viewing angles of all the MP3 Players. Both the M4 and the Q5 had brighter screens vs. the G1. The NITS for the G1's screen are not listed but I envision having significant problems using it outdoors on a sunny day due to the G1 LCD screen's low brightness. Hardware Comparison: From a hardware perspective the increase in cost of the G1 vs the Q5 and M4 could be justified since the G1 comes with an additional 1GB of RAM (the Q5 and M4 come with 1GB RAM whereas the G1 MP3 Player comes with 2GB of RAM). Unfortunately the extra 1GB of RAM that the G1 has provides little to no benefit to the user experience since you can't download or install any RAM intensive apps on the G1 MP3 Player. In terms of the G1's responsiveness, there really isn't a difference that I noticed when testing and comparing all three of these MP3 Players. From my testing, they all seem very snappy in terms of app opening/closing, app use and OS functionality. Another hardware upgrade that the G1 has vs the Q5 and M4 is additional storage space. The G1 has 16GB of on-board storage while the Q5 and M4 only have 8GB of storage. In reality the storage capacity for any of these MP3 Player really isn't that big of a deal for two reasons: 1. Song files tend to be very small so thousands can be added to either one 2. All of these MP3 Players allow you to significantly increase their storage capacity by adding a micro SD card Unfortunately the specific CPU chip that Innioasis decided to build into the G1 MP3 Player is not listed within it's OS (under Settings --> About) so the exact chip ID could not be verified (other than what Innioasis indicates that the G1 uses a 64-bit 8-core MTK CPU chip within it's Amazon product literature) so I have no idea if it the G1's CPU chip is identical, an upgrade or a downgrade vs. M4 and Q5. The built in mic was actually pretty good for both the G1 and the Q5. The M4's mic quality was not nearly as good. I could definitely envision the G1's sound recorder being able to be used decently for dictation or to record interviews if desired. All three MP3 Players are built with the same size battery capacity (1500 mAh) which compared to many other MP3 Players on Amazon is the largest that I've seen in the "$100 or less" MP3 Player catagory. Though I have not specifically tested the G1's battery capacity, Q&A Amazon research for all three MP3 Players indicates the 35 hour use claim could occur if the user: 1. Turns off the MP3 Player's screen when listening and turns off the WiFi and Bluetooth antennas in the MP3 Player's Settings menu 2. Uses wired earplugs to listen to music OS Comparsion: One thing of note with the G1 MP3 Player is that it's using a locked down version of Android 8.1 (Oreo), whereas both the M4 and Q5 use a much earlier modded build of Android 4.4 (KitKat). Why is this relevant? Because Android Oreo allows the user to drag and drop apps on top of each other allowing app folders/groups to be created on the launcher screen. For this reason the G1 can allow it's launcher screen to be far less busy since the user can group similar apps into folders. Grouping apps also allows the user to have much better app organization since similar app types can be grouped into one folder (such as groups/folders for utilities, social media apps, etc). Similar to the default launchers available on the Q5 and M4, the G1 allows the user to add additional launcher to customize the launcher experience further by adding onboard app or Android widgets to launcher screens. I'm an Android user so the fact that all of these units use a typical android interface using a default android launcher provided a smooth and pleasant navigation experience. That being said, I would have much preferred to install my own custom launcher for use like Nova Launcher. Installed App Comparison: To me, the most important app on a MP3 Player is of course the local MP3 Media Player app that the manufacturer chooses to install on their MP3 Player. Both the G1 and the Q5 use the HiBy Music Player app for local song file playback. The M4 has two Media Player apps pre-installed (a non-descript Media Player app and the AIMP Media Player app). All three MP3 Players allow you to adjust music sound settings using the Media Player app's built in equalizer. It's important to note that none of the MP3 Players have a global equilizer that allows the user to adjust the bass/treble for all sound that comes out of the MP3 Player. This means that if the app you're using does not incorporate an equilizer within it, you will not be able to adjust the sound quality coming out of any of these MP3 Players. All three MP3 Players incorporate Media Player apps that allow the user to easily import music files and create unlimited playlists. I imported files directly into the G1 using a USB-C cable connected to my PC and also loaded files onto a micro SD card from my PC and then add the SD card and was able to scan for music files and find them without issue. I do like the functionality of the HiBy Media Player so I'm glad that Innioasis choose the HiBy Media Player app to come pre-installed on the G1 MP3 Player. So, what else does Innioasis add in the G1 to justify the extra cost? Well the G1 is packed with several media and social apps that the M4 and Q5 don't have such as Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, Deezer, Audible, Apple Music, Kindle, Facebook, Twitter and for some bizarre reason Amazon Shopping. All three MP3 Players use the MX Player app to view video files though the Q5 and M4 use MX Player Pro while the G1 uses the freely available standard MX Player. Initially the additional apps installed on the G1 could be viewed as a significant software upgrade compared to the Q5 and the M4 though there are a couple issues that you should know: 1. All of these apps are available freely through Google Play or Amazon App Store and all are installed on most individual's phones 2. Since this unit does not include an install of Google Play or Amazon App Store there is no way to update these apps by the user and almost all are already outdated. What does that mean? It means that: a) Sooner or later these apps may become useless and will no longer function since they rely information received and transmitted from the cloud to function properly. Future app updates may demand that these apps be updated to function properly. Since the user can't update any of the apps on the G1 some of these apps may cease to function properly in the future. b) You have no way of knowing if these apps are genuine and/or without security flaws embedded in them. Amazon Music, Spotify, Kindle and Amazon Shopping can all contain individual's personal information (passwords/credit card info, etc) and since these apps can never be updated or verified for authenicity via an official app store you take a significant security risk with using them. When obtaining apps from an App Store like Google Play or Amazon App store all apps are pre-evaluated for compatibility with your device and must include appropriate encryption protocols before allowing you to install if personal information is contained within them. Similar to the Q5 and M4, the G1 uses the internet browser VIA which works fine as a standard internet browser when the G1 is WiFi connected. The on board keyboard works for all of these MP3 Players, but the experience with using them is a bit painful due to how small the keyboard is on a 4" screen. Unfortunately known of these MP3 Players Incorporated a gyroscope so you must use the keyboard and browse the internet in portrait mode. The VIA browser does allow the user to view pics and download them to the G1's storage. These pics can be used to change the G1's launcher wallpaper if desired. The VIA browser also allows the user to watch certain internet videos (like YouTube videos) when WiFi connected if interested. The Q5 also uses the VIA browser but YouTube videos will not load properly for some reason nor will it allow you to download files. The M4 is loaded with a different non-descript internet browser app, but its internet browsing app does allow for YouTube video watching and downloading files if interested. App Side Loading Comparison: Similar to the Q5 and M4 MP3 Players third party apps cannot be installed or side-loaded on the G1 MP3 Player. I gave it a shot anyway just to verify. I tried: 1. Installing third party apps by downloading APKs using the VIA browser and then trying to install (won't work) 2. Copying APKs over from my PC to the G1 MP3 Player (using the USB-C cable that the G1 MP3 Player comes with) and then trying to install (won't work) 3. Pushing APK installation using ADB commands. This was done by connecting the G1 MP3 Player to my PC using the USB-C cable, activating "Developer Options" under Settings, turning on "USB Debugging" and then using an ADB app install commands on my PC to push the APK files and automatically install them on the G1 MP3 Player (won't work) So, similar to the Q5 and the M4, you're pretty much stuck with the apps that are pre-loaded by default on the G1 MP3 Player. New apps can't be installed and current apps can't up updated. I don't understand why the manufacturers for all of these MP3 Players choose to not only develop these MP3 Player using old versions of the Android OS, but they also choose to mod the Android OS's security settings so that they are entirely locked down. This just doesn't make sense to me. Summary: The Innioasis G1 MP3 Player is certainly a capable MP3 Player for the price. That being said, in comparison to the cost of the TIMMKOO Q5 and the Luoran MP4 MP3 Players, I was hopeful that the increase cost of the G1 MP3 Player would equate to a significantly better user experience. Unfortunately I don't believe this is the case. While the G1 does have upgrades from a hardware, app sofware and OS standpoint, none of these upgrades dramatically change the user experience compared to the Q5 and M4 MP3 Players (at least to me). Moreover I'm concerned about the security and future functionality issues that could arise when using some of the apps Innioasis decided to add to the G1 MP3 Player. Because none of the G1's apps can be updated by the user and some require an internet connection to download sound files I'm concerned at some point their functionality could be hampered if app updates are necessary. In regards to app side loading or updating the good news is that for the same cost of the G1, Luoran will soon be coming out with a "M4 Pro" upgraded variant very soon (suppossedly by the end of June 2022) which will have the same amount of RAM and storage as the Innioasis G1 MP3 player but will also allow for third party APK app install by the user. To me this is a significant improvement over the G1 MP3 Player and it's the reason I'll be returning the G1 and taking the M4 Pro for a spin when it's released. EDIT - in the end I decided to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Mini S5 to use as a MP3 Player. It's a little larger than this unit (4.5" vs. 4" screen) but its benefits over this unit (and all the rest I've tested quite frankly) is that it is: - fully Google Play compatible - has a bright (432 nits max) Super AMOLED 720P screen easily visible outdoors - is IP67 water resistant - has cases available for purchase (mine actually came with an Otterbox case) - has GPS (for running, biking or weather radar) - a fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, heart rate scanners and camera - has built in aptX codec for low latency streaming capability - a nice sized battery (2100mAh; which is removable/replaceable) which allows for 11 hr video playing, 47 hours of music playing and 250 hrs of standby time - is made by a reputable company with tons of online reviews - can easily be rooted and flashed with LineageOS I intend to flash Linage OS 16 so it's OS is updated from Android 5.1 to Android 9.0 (Pie). Morever, I can use it as a backup phone if I ever break/lose my primary phone. You can get used mini S5 phones in great condition for $50 (on Swappa) or new ones for $45 from Alibaba but shipping will be slow. You really can't beat all the bells and whistles listed above for $50. Yes, I realize that it's a phone and not strictly a MP3 player but it can easily be locked so no additonal apps can be loaded on it if you want to restrict content it for kids use. For $80 this MP3 player is approaching the price for a MP3 Player with an actually decent quality DAC chip built into it and it just doesn't seem price justified for what it brings to the table.

I'll be honest, I havent owned an MP3 player since my click wheel iPod days. But with a recent road trip and a growing audiobook addiction, I knew I needed something more portable and easier access than my phone. My first impression, this thing looks like a miniature android phone. Not bulky, and lightweight. Easy to hold fits in my hand comfortably. It does come equipped with wifi capabilities and has a huge storage space of 80GB. I have already loaded it up with my entire music library, audio books, and even a few podcasts, and Im not even close to using half the space. No more agonizing over what to delete to make more music space on my phone before a trip! It has a 4 inch touchscreen which is more than adequate enough for browsing through a music collection and tapping through audiobooks. The device is responsive and easy to navigate, even with clumsy fingers or just a fat thumb. The device comes with apps already installed, all you have to do is log in with your account or create a new one. Apps like Spotify, Pandora, and Audible already on the device make it quick and easy to access and listen to any playlists previously established through a subscription. I can download audiobooks or stream music without draining my phones data. And the bluetooth connects everytime without any delay or problems. I paired it with my wireless earbuds, and my portable bluetooth speaker. The battery life of this mp3 player is probably the most notable feature. Ive been listening for hours on end during my road trip, and its barely put a dent in the charge. The convenience of using this vs draining my phone battery has totally transformed my on the go music listening experience. In terms of sound quality, I'm not an audiophile, but I do appreciate good tunes. The sound is crisp, clear, and punchy, even at higher volumes. Im rediscovering details in my favorite songs I never noticed before. Its not the fanciest mp3 on the market, but for the price, its a steal. Its durable, portable, and packed with features that make life easier and commutes way more enjoyable. Its very versatile, great for a music lover, an audiobook addict, or just someone who needs a break from their phone. I really like thats its simple and easy enough that my kids can navigate it as well. Its also a great way for kids to listen to music without having access to the entire world wide web like on a phone or tablet. I am very satisfied with this purchase. We have not experienced any negative issue with the device, its a good value for the money and I would recommend it to others.

I received this item on December 3, 2025. I wanted a player that I could listen to my audible books and music on. The screen size is adequate, bigger than all the other cheap mp3 players I have bought in the past. The touch screen was small but usable. Trying to set up this player was a nightmare for me(I am not tech savvy), I had to watch a great many how to videos because the instruction manual made very little sense. The volume of the radio and Pandora apps was very even. I have had a lot of trouble loading my music on the music player. The time display on the music player could not be set to a 12 hr. clock despite setting to a 12 hr. clock on the main mp3 player. The sound between songs would vary from barley being audible to blasting in your ear when going from song to song. I have yet to find an aux cord that does not cause a great amount of feedback when I plug my headphones in to listen. Very annoying. Most of the Apps are in need of updates, but because it is missing the Google Play App Services, or comparable other services, I can't update Audible. So there is now no way to listen to my Audible books on this player. Very aggravating. I would send this product back but it has been to long. This is not a good product. The product tech is not new and can not be updated easily. Please do not buy. I am not impressed.

Installation is nice and quick and easy to operate only for the car on Bluetooth it doesn't work, a lot drops out and the music crackles, you do have to start the car from idle for it to pick up so otherwise it's a great device

Parfait pour ma fille de 10 ans ou ne voulions pas de fonctions téléphone, mais voulions un accès a Deezer. Il vient par défaut avec pas mal d'applications, mais elles peuvent toutes être des installées. On a eu un souci avec le premier que nous avons reçu, impossible de l'allumer au bout de quelques jours - écran noir. On a contacté le service client qui nous en a renvoyé un après avoir testé de faire un reset, sans succès. Ils ont été super réactifs. Au top donc!

Rekommenderar inte!! Beställde två spelare som skulle levereras senast den 19 december. Det skulle bli julklappar. Nu är det den 6 januari och varorna har fortfarande inte skickats och jag har inte fått någon uppdatering. Får inte tag i företaget och har alltså blivit av med min pengar. Däremot skickade de två skyddsfodral som jag köpt för cirka 25 Euro. Så dessa har jag hemma och går ju inte att använda till något annat. Så det är också pengar i sjön.
