Good enough to get a general idea
I bought this to teach my parents about the concept of WBGT, illustrate why shade is so important, and help us all develop a feel for what safely working in the yard feels like. I don't know if it's exactly accurate, but it's close enough to give a general idea of how safe or unsafe a situation is.

My unit does not work properly
When I opened the product and inserted the batteries, it initially worked. However, once it turned off, I could not turn it back on. I reached out to the manufacturer a few times but to no avail. I guess you get what you pay for. Lesson learned. I am thoroughly disappointed. I actually had high hopes.

Very basic, with no logging of data
If you just need something to capture the max wind speeds observed in your immediate area, this should be just fine. However, if you're seeking to capture several readings, logged by date and time, then this is not the right tool. Also, the temperature readings seem suspect to me. I was getting readings upwards of over 100 degrees on a day that was showing by other thermometers to be in the low 90's and 20% relative humidity. It meets my needs for quick wind speed readings but not much else.

works qutie well once i figured it out
The main reason i got this was jsut to measure wind speed. but it also has humidity and temperature as well as web bulb temperature and gives you and indication of heat stress. wind speed seems to work well, though I have no way to test its accuracy. in / out - it took me a while to figure out what this really is .... in, is the air temperature, and out is the black bulb temperature. so in direct sunlight, the "out" or black bulb temperature will be a lot higher than the air temperature. so keep this in mind, basically the heat you feel in the sun as opposed to the shade. it takes some time for those temperatures to settle out, so don't expect an immediate temperature reading unless it has been in the environment for like 15-20 min. so as far as heat stress, one is the heat stress when you are outdoors in the sun, and the other is indoors in the shade. I do like the features that warn you about a high heat index, as well as the RH feature. oh, a minor note, the backlight changes color as the heat index rises, but, you can't see those colors in the bight outdoors. .. still you do not that it is needed as it also has a bar that underscores the warning level. .. but just a small note about that.

Good when aimed into the wind
A good little instrument but it needs to be aimed directly into the wind

The excellent wether meter providing heat stress information and wind speed reading
Heat-related illness become more and more frequently during summer. However, weather report usually provides the air temperature reading from the measurement in the shade. For outdoor work or excises, environment factors, such as humidity, wind, temperature, and radiant heat, and workload, clothing also need to be considered. This device provides the reading of the wet bulb globe temperature which can help to better understand and prevent the potential hazards in hot summer days.

It works... I think
Alright so i bought this to use to keep an eye on "heat stress" conditions in a warehouse. I think it will do what i want it to... but i feel its not really as advertised. Main Reasons 1. The "WBGT" I can see it in the lcd pannel but for the life of me cant get the device to switch to that mode only toggles between "IN" & "out" 2. There is no backlight at all. very difficult to see some of the smaller text. I like that you can set the green caution zone to whatever you want... It definitely reads 2 different temperatures the "IN" and "OUT" temp is in the center top part of the screen and it changes depending if its set to "IN" or "OUT". Then it reads ambient in the bottom left. Note that you can only view ambient temp when you switch to windspeed. Other than that it feels a bit cheap, and there is a few buttons that i feel do nothing. Instructions are not terribly useful either. I am not going to return it as the wind speed and ambient temp is useful. If I can figure out what the "IN" and "OUT" are for that be cool I suspect its different math for WBGT" however its not clear and I cant get "WGBT" to spark up so who knows. For me this just might be for ambient temp and wind speed which I happen to have a use for.
