Moisturizing Lip Balm

Terrific product.-probably the best I’ve ever used. Very moisturizing and great results. No unpleasant taste like some others.

I am a lip balm addict/junkie. I use it every day, and I've used so many different kinds it's crazy. This is one of THE best I've ever tried. So soft on the lips, extremely moisturizing, and fairly long-lasting (no lip balm ever lasts as long as I want it to, but this one goes longer than most). I detect no real smell to it, just a lovely soft, moisturizing consistency. I also love that it's not shiny. I'm in my 50s; I don't want shiny lips like I'm 16, just soft, moisturized lips. And I like that it's soft and goes on like butter...not sticky, not "hard to glide" (like traditional Chapstick). It's just a superb lip balm.

Hempz Lips is better than any other product that I've ever tried. My lips were extremely chapped but after only two days of using this product, they were as soft as can be. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Wife swears this stuff is great and she uses it a lot for her sore lips. No smell, not greasy, goes on easy and tends to cling for some time. Good for lip trouble, sore, chapped, etc.

The good news is this works miracles! But forewarned: this tastes awful --very bitter--like petroleum jelly. It tastes so bitter that I only keep it on for 10 minutes, then I wipe it off, and it STILL works wonders. So it's a lip treatment rather than a stay-on lip balm. Although I've now also tried their "Hempz Buttercream Cake Bite Herbal Lip Balm" and it works wonders, too, without any bitter taste! Nice!

I've previously used this product for years and was happy with how it moisturized my lips. However the formula must have changed since I last order because my lips are extremely dry all the time when using this product. There is also a very unpleasant sweet taste to the new formula. Unfortunately I've missed the window to return the 2nd tube I ordered.

Like the headline says, Hempz went ahead and changed the formula for their lip balm. Like big time, folks! BEWARE – It has a new texture (less viscous), new color (it is now a very pale mildy translucent yellow... Before it was a much darker yellow, reminiscent of a light amber/honey color), a new bland and somewhat hit and miss bitter taste, the original scent and taste is all but gone... It is pretty much scentless compared to before. This new formula just doesn't feel releaving nor luxurious anymore. Also, worthy of note; some ingredients have been removed and some have been added, as well as the ingredient list looks like it's been scrambled. After using this lip moisturizer for over 20 years, I'm now on the market for a new high preformance/gentle ingredient lip balm. I'm shocked that they changed the balm so drastically. They didn't even have the sense to change the packaging and/or label informing it as a new formula for all of us who have been using the original Hempz Lip Balm. What shame! I feel robbed. Fyi: I bought and returned a few tubes to make sure it wasn't a bad tube or something. Learning unfortunately it is indeed not the Hempz lip balm we are all used of and love. I would love to know why they did this to such a premium and highly effective product, and did so without making a peep or writing a word. RIP - Original Hempz Lips Balm And it IS NOTHING like the original! It is weak, thin, it seems to no longer have 75% of the oils, texture, and scents it originally did. This is so disappointing! The new formula seems to be mainly petrolium jelly with a few drops of this and that to distinguish it from Vaseline. The petrolium jelly is weird... It can smack you in the mouth and throat with some new terrible bitter taste. Not even Vaseline tastes bitter. Why mess with a perfectly awesome product?! Probably greed. Like usual. Shame.
