Men's Expedition Tide-Temp-Compass 45mm Watch

Compass feature is nice; however, it’s not incredibly accurate. It’ll get you in the right direction though. Nice looking watch with an easily readable face. The indiglo is nice for night time. Good feeling weight to the watch and the material on the watch band is nice as well, no irritation and easy to buckle.

Great watch. Looked good for business casual and rec purposes. Reliable and durable. - wish I still had it but someone else liked it too and picked it off me.

Early review. This is a higher end Timex stainless case w/saphire crystal and fully useable compass bezel and green strap w/light tan dial. I own other tide watches that are more precise (eg, Casio) with full lat/long and DST adjusting tide tracking that are cheaper but not as attractive/comfy as this watch is. This watch isnt the most precise on tide or temp but it wins for single pusher-button ease of use of the main features and adjusting the tide tracking easily. It’s ideal for a weekend at the beach or boating. The analog compass also works well after a simple calibration setup step. The dial seems overwhelming at first, but then becomes pleasant to use and instinctive to use once you “get it”. The lume is just “meh”, but the indiglo is lovely at night. The temp feature isnt that useful on wrist though as body heat affects it. Have to take the watch off to get a useful ambient temp. Overall though, a smart design for tide/compass that is more useful as a daily tool than any of the chronographs that I own. It’s a bit large on wrist and a deep case, but will fit an upper 7ish to 8ish inch wrist very well. The band and integrated lug design are VERY comfy for the case depth and breathe well on wrist. Not an ideal candidate for band-swapping though unless you invest in bands with the proper “notches” to fit the notched lugs and remove the screwed in pins as well. The lug angles also need a rubber strap that is thicker at the pins to get the geometry right on wrist. Overall, a 5 of 5 for looks and comfort and daily use of the features. Then a 4 of 5 for the precision of the features, particularly the so-so temperature feature. Time will tell in reliability as some reviewers noted. But I dont tend to break watches and rotate to others as well. Love the looks, easy to live with and gets noticed favorably without breaking the bank. Score!

Appearance is great with very nice features. Good face size making the hands easier to follow. The rubber watch band is comfortable and matches the appearance of the watch well. Indiglo doesn’t light the complete face, but works with low or no light. I would purchase again. Very well priced for a watch with these features

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, TIMEX, OR AMAZON ANYMORE !!!NOT HAPPY AT ALL !!!!!THE WRIST BAND FRAYED AND WAS FALLING OFF THE WATCH IN ABOUT 45 DAYS.I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO THE SELLER AND AMAZON, THAT THEIR 30 RTURN POLICY IS UNDERSTOOD, HOWEVER, I SENT PICTURES AND SEVERAL EMAILS EXPLAINING THAT THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BROKE SO QUICKLY.THEY WOULND'T HELP ME AT ALL, JUST KEPT SAYING "IT'S PAST 30 DAYS RETURN TIME".SO HERE I GO WITH MY REVIEW !!!!!LOOK AT THE PICTURES.45 DAYS IS UN-ACCEPTABLE FOR THE WRIST BAND TO LAST.MY BROTHER SEARCHED FOR THIS WATCH FOR A LONG TIME.ONCE HE FOUND IT AND CUSTOMIZED THE BAND FOR HIMSELF, HE WAS SO HAPPY TO GET IT.NOT HARDLY A MONTH LATER THE BAND IS WEARING AND FALLING OFF THE WATCH.I FEEL THE MAKERS SHOULD HAVE USED A HARDER MATERIAL FOR THE CONNECTION TO THE WATCH BAND ATTACHMET TO THE CONNECTING POST SHAFT.THE SHARP EDGES ON THE BRACKETS WORE AWAY AT THE SOFT MATERIAL IN THE BAND.I FEEL IM DO A FREE REPLACEMENT. I leave 3 stars. Not because of issues with the watch itself. In fact the watch I love. But the band broke within a month. It broke wear it connects to the watch itself. There is a loop on the end of the band that snapped. Needless to say I purchased another band and once again enjoying my great dependable timex watch.

Phenomenal watch for the money actually a phenomenal watch if it cost twice as much or even three times

It look good, but hard to read. Compass wasn't working right, wasn't able to calibrate. Water temperature wasn't shown correctly. I was not able to find manual online. Only outer ring is illuminated. Decided to return. Can get much nicer watch for $150-200.

I like the watch - but it keeps losing time in an unpredictable way - sometimes ok and then 10-15 minutes per 24 hr. I have had the battery replaced twice and the reset button was pressed - its not that. Timex only warranty watches for 12 months if bought from 3rd parties but 24 months if bought from Timex. Buyer beware. I am 10 days beyond the 12 month period - should have acted sooner

I am so impressed with this watch. It is full of tech and still has that analog look and feel. Superb build, great design and couldn't be happier with it. I bought this as a "warehouse" deal and it was 115 dollars. What an insane savings. The presentation box was ratty, no instructions, but the watch didn't even appear to be worn. Not only do I love this watch, I love the warehouse deal. I am a very big guy and the watch size is only a bit on the small side. No real issue for me. 45mm should work for everyone given that this a expedition watch and not a dress watch.
