Are the hooks round (as pictured) or like a "check-mark" as some have commented?

The hooks I received are exactly as pictured. Round and doing the job!

Will these stick to the side of a refrigerator and hold a broom?

I'm not quite sure if the hooks are wide enough to hold a broom, but yes, they stick the side of my refrigerator very securely.

Difficult to tell how large. What is the measurement at the base where the magnet is? Want to hang kitchen towel and hot pads.

This magnet will hold 4.75 pounds and is approximately 1.3 inches.

Can i fit a round curtain rod in it?

My magnetic hooks are shaped differently. The hook is not round but more pointed. I think a rod 4 to 5/8 inches might fit in mind, 4/8 probably a better fit. I'm happy with the shape I have, it holds my kitchen utensils very well. Good luck, seems like a good use of the magnet hook, if your rod will fit.
