Wipe Clean: Pen Control: An Introduction to Pen Control with Activities To Do Again and Again! (Wipe Clean Learning Books)

I got this for our 3 year old to learn how to hold a pencil/marker and practice pen control. I read a lot of reviews on here to figure out which book to pick and feel like this was the best choice. Others were too advanced. This has straight lines, squiggly, tracing shapes, etc. All the basic things that will help with pen control before moving to more complicated things like letters. It's perfect for beginners.

Don't listen to the bad reviews. This book is a great learning tool and it DOES wipe clean if you're smart enough to use the marker that comes with it. Let the marker dry then wipe off with a wet paper towel. I wiped mine off with a piece of wet toilet paper and it came right off as you can see in the pictures. Now you probably can't use just any marker obviously. That's where common sense comes in. You may have to order these specific markers which I'm totally willing to do because my toddlers are already learning great pen control with this book and we've had it one day. Totally worth the money.

Wipes easy and toddler loves it

Keeps my 3 year old busy! He loves practicing his tracing. The dry erase marker it comes with does not last long. Ours dried out so we got some cheap dollar store ones as back up. Highly recommend this workbook!

We got the Pen Control and ABC 123 Write n Wipe books for our son who is in Pre-K. I am super impressed by the progressing difficulty of each page. It's perfect to workout those little wrist muscles and learn shapes, letters and numbers. He really enjoyed using it and I love that I don't have to keep up with a bajillion writing pages or feel that twinge of guilt from throwing them out. Cause who keeps all their kids' artwork and writing pages? Who has storage for that? Scan it on a flash drive and be done with it. I also like that there is a lowercase alphabet in the back of the book too. I bought three different books to get everything he needed to work on, but may not need all of them! Anyway, my only complaint is that the Priddy marker smudges. You have to use some kind of wet rag/napkin or baby wipe to clean the pages. I just happened to have a new pack of thin Expo markers (that may indeed stain if you don't wipe them off when you're done with the book for the day). They do not however fit in the Priddy marker holder, but the easy fix to that is Velcro. I highly recommend these books for new writers and hope this review was helpful.

Perfect for ages 2 and up

I absolutely love these for my toddler, i prefer a different marker than the one it comes with but that’s because I want a color other than black. Yes it is hard to wipe off but i like that feature because it helps me check my kids work. Nothing that a little rubbing alcohol cant wipe away. This has definitely helped my child’s pen control!

My son is 2.5 years old and this is his travel book for doctor visits and waiting rooms. He loves it! We use it with EXPO whiteboard markers because they wipe off super easy and he has better pen control with the wide markers. Tip: If they don't wipe off an old/dried EXPO whiteboard marker over the top of them gets it off super easy. He loves the activities in this book! There is so much to do in such a small space. With the bright colours and easy to identify pictures it really is worth every penny. It's great and I would highly recommend it!

My 4-year-old had a blast with this dry erase book — tracing animal dot-to-dots, zooming through mazes, and practicing letters (over and over again, thanks to the wipe-clean pages!). It’s more of a fun activity mix than a focused handwriting guide, so if you want strict penmanship practice, look elsewhere. Pro tip: use thin colorful markers — it makes tracing more exciting and shows progress at a glance.

Very good learning tool.

solid construction, fun variety of mazes, doodles, excercises and themes. but pen ink pearls up and makes a huge mess of my kid's hands -- THERE it tends to stay quite a while despite soap and water and frenetic rubbing. But I also bought a similar book from a different (French) publisher whose pen seems to leave permanent traces on that book. interestingly enough, that other book's pen works better on this book.

Wonderful product. I just loved their great idea for small kids. children will enjoy writing if we buy it. Over systematic praticing they will learn drawing simple pictures too...
