CATEYE ViZ USB Rechargeable Daytime Safety Light

This light is bright enough for daylight use and has lots of selectable lighting patterns. The charging lasts about six hour with the pattern I prefer, and it automatically switches down to a top light/bottom light flashing pattern when the charge gets low. It can run for about an hour like that. So I have always been made aware of the need to recharge the unit before it runs out of juice. The rubber band that attaches the unit to the seat post worried me a bit when I first got it, but it has been reliable in the few months that I have owned it. I like it well enough that I got a unit for my wife and son, too.

I wish there were a way to give this 4.5 stars. Very bright, easy to see from really far away, tons of flashing and 2 solid modes. Overall a really good light, but the lack of mounting options count against this light. It cannot lay flat with provided mount, so it has to be mounted on an angle such as a seat post or rear subframe. If it is mounted horizontal the light is at a large angle and the same if it is mounted completely vertical. Does not include a clothing or strap clip (must be purchased separately) and does not seem to have a flat option for separate purchase

Battery life is great! This sucker is bright and eye catching, especially in the day time. And if you lose the ladder tie, they sell that piece on their website. Vreat, great product. Highly recommend for safety and visibiity.

Bright, great flash mode, long-lasting between charges. A perfect aero seatpost tail light, IMO. I've been riding for 20 years and swore by Cygolite Hotshots until I went aero seat post and they didn't initially make a mount that would work. This Cateye is topnotch!

The actual light itself is great. Nice and bright, battery lasts forever. There’s two reasons I’m only giving 4 stars. First, it’s micro usb, not type c. It does come with a charger, but it’s literally like 2” long. Luckily I had a longer one in a drawer. And second, the entire light and mount bracket has to come off to charge it. I feel like removing and installing it every day to charge will eventually wear out the rubber strap that goes around the seat post. Tbf, it’s still in good shape after a few weeks of daily riding, so only time will tell

Very well designed product with multiple power and illumination settings. Reliable Japanese electronics! A bit expensive but often you get what you pay for. Priced so that Cateye brand will be around for warranty and for the future.

I have the 300 and the hyper mode isn’t as blinding as everyone says. it’s awesome to use if you want to be seen in daylight conditions. battery life is great. the mount doesn’t fit an aero post that well (it can shift now and then slightly) so i went and got the cateye seat rail mount. now the light is perfect.

I bought two of these, each on a price drop. I use flashing lights on my bikes, back and front, in the daytime on Toronto streets. In the front I use an Olight RN1500 which has a great flash pattern. With delivery guys on heavy e-bikes passing you while looking at their phones, you can’t be too careful.

Light is good but the elastic to fix the light on the saddle post ripped after a few rights.

Very easy to use, to attach, to program. Bright visible flashing light, helping any cyclist to be safer on the busy roads, as most motorist give a wide berth in order not to be blinded by the intensity of the light. Battery life more than adequate for most cyclist; much longer on a single charge than less expensive units purchased at mega store. A redesign would include an indication of the orientation of light and charge cord when attaching the two pieces (I use a Sharpie to mark how they are connected).

This product is amazing and I would encourage every cyclist to purchase two of these lights. You will be seen!
