Great tool for Paramedics, RN's, EMT's, etc. Holds stethoscope solidly during movement.
I'm a medic, and after spending years dealing with the crappy plastic belt-clip stethoscope holders, which resulted in one lost scope just getting out of the rig, and many, MANY cases of my scope falling out when sitting down, standing up, or moving around I finally gave up and started stuffing my scope in a pants pocket. Not ideal - it's a pain to get out, and even worse to get back in, but much safer on an ambulance than keeping it around my neck for someone to choke me with. So, when I saw a flight medic wearing one of Dr Li's Batclips' I was intrigued. When I saw he was able to move freely with it without the scope falling out, I was interested enough to buy one. I just received it today, and I'm impressed. My scope (a conventional diaphragm & bell model) fits easily in the clip and stays there securely. The velcro is strong and does not seem at all prone to releasing itself, so having my scope slide out while I'm moving around is no longer a major concern. The 'easy' way to insert the scope does leave a loop hanging down, which could be a concern in some environments, like a passenger seat, however I was able to secure my scope equally well with a second loop inside the wings (basically the same way I made it fit into my 5.11 pocket) where there was no dangling loop to catch on anything. This would make it very slightly slower to re-secure (having to wrap the scope before clipping), but if you're worried about it catching it will eliminate the loop. I'll post a photo of my method shortly. Overall, the Batclip seems to be an incredibly well built, solid stethoscope clip that does exactly what it's designed to -- holds your scope in place regardless of what you're doing. In that sense it might be a one-trick pony, but if you're an Paramedic, EMT, RN, or ER Doc, that's one trick that you, your neck, and your pockets will really appreciate! Update after about a month of solid use: Works great. The clip on the back is solid metal, well made, and holds well to your belt. The wings secure solidly and I have had no problems with the scope sliding or coming out. The only potential issue is that the Batclip can slide on your belt if you wear an especially thin belt. It's made to fit about a 2" belt and will stay in place quite solidly on that. If you wear a 1.25" belt it may be prone to sliding, depending on where you position it. If so it's not a terribly difficult fix, either adjusting how to clip it on, wearing a slightly thicker belt, or clipping it to both your belt and pants will all stop the sliding. Overall it's held up excellently during a month of solid 911 shifts.

27,000hrs of use and counting
Looking back I have had this for 13 years now. Most of that time I have worked 3-4 12hr shifts on acute care hospital floors. For the last almost two years I have worked 12-17 12 hour nights shifts in a row basically 2 weeks on and 1 week off. This has held up great. That is over 27,000hrs of use. Pretty darn good and the price is basically unchanged. The Velcro needs changed out and I will do that soon but it still works. I believe that has helped my stethoscopes last longer. I have used a Littmann Master Cardiology and more often a Littmann Cardiology IV with an Echo amplifier. These are on the heavier side compared to many stethoscopes. Tubing of both still in great shape. I wear Duluth Trading Firehose carvas cargo pants and just hook it on the hammer loop on the side. Works great for me. I have never had a stethoscope stolen because I never set it down. Thank you for making a great product.

Great tool
I am writing this review five years since purchase. It is still in perfect condition despite daily use for half a decade. Velcro still intact entirely. Figured Iโd give credit where credit is due

Excellent scope holder, I highly recommend it.
I'm a 4th year med student going into general surgery (ultimately trauma) and I hate wearing these annoying devices around my neck, thus I'm prone to forgetting it. (say what you will, I don't care) This batclip is actually awesome, i will outline my opinion below. Pros: 1) sits comfortably on my waistband, and the device never "slips off" like with those cheap scope holders 2) when you get it in hand, you'll notice it's actually very good quality, I was skeptical at first about the price, but was content once I started using it. The material feels sturdy, and gives me the impression it will last a very long time 3) I never lose my annoying scope anymore since it's securely attached to my waist 4) it is actually very easy to strap the scope into the holder and take it out, it takes no time at all. Cons: 1) as stated earlier, it's a little expensive for a scope holder, but it IS an excellent quality holder. So, if you're a budding surgeon like me or whatever and hate wearing scopes around your neck, I'd recommend buying this snazzy deal. If you're going into ortho, this probably isn't for you as you'll likely just throw away your scope anyway.

Very good
Work great. After using, my stethoscope has never fallen out even while rushing through the ER. The belt clip is a little hard to attach to scrubs at times but thatโs forgivable.

Batclip is the only one that WORKS!!!
The ONLY stethoscope holder that works!! I used to drape my stethoscope over my neck, until I had an expensive high quality one (and WORTH IT) actually crack on the tubing because it was always around my neck in contact with my skin oils. I only ever even kept it around my neck because NONE of the stethoscope clips i had tried even work! (The plastic ones) NOT A SUNGLE ONE WORKS!! (If itโs plรกstic? Donโt waste your $$). Bat lip is the ONLY ONLY ONE that works with EVERY single stethoscope Iโve EVER owned. It actually PISSES ME OFF that the stethoscope clip world has started to COPY batclip! I see 2 or 3 out there now on Amazon which seem comparable (and probably do work), but since WildTree is first in my book, I will NOT buy the one which is 51cents cheaper, nor will I buy the one I just saw which is a few bucks cheaper. Wild Tree deserves my loyalty for making the best product while mass-merchants make clips that LOOK like theyโre work but NEVER do well, no matter the stethescope. The batclip is the first one I ever found that actually makes ANY sense, and not only that, I believe itโs STILL hand made! (Right?) Iโve had my batclip (and shears-holder - awesome titanium shears!) a year or more now with almost DAILY use (between jobs - I only get every other weekend off. Though I even use it on days off sometimes with my daughter, or my bffโs sick kids). There is no way in HECK that Iโll EVER buy any other stethoscope holder from someone else - even if itโs similar & cheaper. The similar ones might not even last as long. My batclip looks and performs just as well as itโs first day in service. LONG LIVE BATCLIP!!. Iโm even thinking of buying a large batch for my 22 graduating students this May, and maybe for all my hospital coworkers on PM shift this Christmas (if I can make ends meet well enough) Im for-SURE getting it for close nursing/medical friends & family this year at the very least. ***batclip is WORTH IT!!!*** Do NOT waste $$ on plastic clips for 12.99... your stethescope will never seat in them. #batclip

Incorrect color, will update once correct 1 is received.
I think this has a potential to be an absolutely fabulous item. Unfortunately, I ordered green and a black one was delivered. I need to go through the process of returning this in order to purchase it again. As long as the return goes through smoothly then I will consider repurchasing and hopefully they will send me the correct color. For the short period of time that I had this I thought that it has been very well put together. I appreciated that it was made in the USA. The Velcro is very adhesive and secure. I do not think there would be any concern losing your stethoscope due to weak manufacturing. The clip is very tight to the base of the unit. The letter is very sick and not flimsy but does hold the shape very nicely. Altogether this looks like it is a very well-made product and, like I said, I am hoping that I get the right color the next time.

Excellent piece of kit! :)
Being a Paramedic I need to have access to my stethoscope when I am out and about- in the past I have put them in my trouser pocket and they have ended up becoming bent and damaged. Due to the unpredictable nature of our job, we are advised not to wearing our steths around our neck. I had bought one of the plastic holders in the past but it wasn't great. However this simple piece of kit is perfect and the first day I wore it at work I had 4 other crew mates wanting to know where I got it as they wanted one too! :)

Recomendable.
Un artilugio muy bien diseรฑado para poder tener a mano siempre el fonendo y sin necesidad de llevarlo en el cuello o hecho una pelota en un bolsillo de la bata. Recomendable.

Stitches on the Velcro
Purchased this product about a year ago. The leather looks and feels good quality. It held up well, but recently, the stitches on the velcro came out and there is no way of fixing it. I have not been using it ever since.
