Pentair TLC-50 RO Membrane Replacement 50 GPD

Made in China but quality is not bad.

I really wanted to use a Pentair/Pentek membrane. When I received the item the instructions said to flush the membrane for 24 hours. How is this possible? I tried contacting the manufacturer but got the runaround. The item is now made in China. How is it possible to flush the membrane for 24 hours? I got no logical answers from anyone in the business. Had to return the item.

It doesn't work at all. Water goes through really fast. Much more that 50 gpd. We figured it out, and filled a gallon jug. We timed it, It cane out to 30 gallons an hour. My ice cubes are totally white, and have a lot of floaters in the water. The water doesn't even taste good. When I use it for cooking the water gets really cloudy when you boil it, then it gets a lot of white build up in the bottom of the pot. It's enough build up in one use to write you name in. Very disappointing.

Ho sostituito la vecchia membrana che aveva un po' di anni e ovviamente il salto di qualità è stato notevole, sia nella qualità di filtraggio, che nella percentuale di acqua filtrata.Infatti sono passato da un 20-25% di acqua di osmosi recuperata a circa il 45%.Ma soprattutto la qualità di filtraggio è cambiata parecchio, infatti da 180 micro Siemens di conducibilità (decisamente alta) con la vecchia membrana ad appena 26 micro Siemens, con questa.La cosa buffa che appena sostituita, ho ottenuto più di 2000 di conducibilità, facendomi credere in un errore di montaggio.Ovviamente era semplicemente che dovevo lasciare partire il filtro per almeno un paio di minuti, per dare modo al sistema di eliminare l'acqua stagnante (cosa che consiglio a tutti).
