Clearly written and well illustrated
With variations on the standard books on this subject, it is a good addition for reference purposes.

Lacking Important Information
Book is fairly helpful regarding cacti. There are no dimensions for succulents and so cannot even use it to plan. All of the cacti have growth dimensions. I bought mainly for the succulents and find it unhelpful because of this.

Cactus and Succulent handbook
Excellent book. An eye opener - I discovered many plants that I was familiar with were also succulents.

Glad I got this one
Now this is what I call and all around great book on cacti and succulents. Beautifully illustrated and well organized and well written. From everything I've seen and looked out so far.It is very educational.

Nice Book
My son is crazy about plants, with succulents being a particular interest. I gifted him this book, and he really likes it. Not sure how much detail it really offers, but the presentation is professional and appears to be somewhat in-depth. The construction of the book is sound. Hope this helps.

This is a directory, not a care guide.
The description states this book includes “How to cultivate cacti and succulents, their natural habitats, care, handling, propagation, repotting, common pests and diseases, and more.” However, the “care, handling, propagation, repotting, common pests and diseases” sections are very minimal. I bought this book thinking it would help me learn how to better care for the cacti and succulent plants I have and possibly other cacti/succulents I’d like to acquire in the future. Instead, this book is more like a plant type/identification encyclopedia. The book states it includes”directory” and I think that’s a description of the book overall. Even then, it gives minimal information about each plant species. Think about it like learning surface level information for a ton of topics instead of in depth coverage of a few topics. This book is not great for beginners (like me) seeking to learn all the things needed to keep their plants alive. I’m considering keeping the book for the directory part, but it didn’t serve the reason I bought it. Most likely, I’m going to return it since I need to know how to care for my plants before I learn what other types of plants exist.
