These are good spring compressors. Used them on 2008 Sonata struts to replace the shock absorbers. Read the instructions and watch their YouTube video if you want a tutorial. A little grease on the threads wouldn't hurt but I skipped that and they worked fine. These will save you money as you only usually need to replace the shock portion of a strut anyway and as a bonus you can also avoid garbage quick struts. The oem springs, bumpers and mounts, etc are usually better quality that what a quick strut would supply and you save some money in the process. If you need new mounts just buy good ones when you order the shocks and install them when you swap over. I'll use these many times Im sure.

These spring compressor was actually really easy to use and worked really well. Felt a lot safer than the ones autozone/oreilly’s carry. 😅

I was initially skeptical that this coil spring compression tool could handle such a demanding task. I used it while installing an air bag coil spring assist kit on my 2012 F550 cab chassis, which has very large springs. After raising the front of the truck to take the weight off the wheels, I was able to compress the coil springs sufficiently to remove them from the chassis seat. The tool felt solid, safe, and was very easy to use.

There is always room for improvement in tools. The reason for the four stars is that the jaws need to have a non marring coating on them. This would increase the price however when installing newly powder coated springs you want something that will not mar the coating. The function of this tool is great, I was able to use a battery operated 3/8" drive ratchet to compress the springs with ease. Always be aware of what you are working on stay aware in using tools such as this. If you are uncomfortable in anyway in using a product of this nature seeking out professional to do the job. This is a dangerous job when compressing springs and can lead to serious injury if done incorrectly.

Must have for truck springs. Very well built, heavy duty. Worked great to replace struts on 2014 Silverado. Fit perfectly. Much safer than the loaner tool from local big box stores. Fast shipping, comes in a nice case to keep everything organized. Definitely recommend.

I have been using cheap, auto zone compressors for years and surprised i still have all my fingers and haven’t died yet. If i would have only bought these earlier! Way worth the money, they are easy to use, solid and well built and not near and scary to use when you’re carrying around a spring grenade!

Anyone with a Tundra or similar beefy springs installing Bilsteins THIS is the best tool for the money! WOW. I have used the cheap harbor freight style and was skeptical this was any better but it is AMAZING. Worth every penny. Made the install simple and works great. Solid, and i highly recommend it. I usually dont review anything i buy..but had to on this tool. It is that good. 2006 tundra dc now has bilstein 5100s thanks to this tool and a few hours work. Buy it.

I used this spring compressor on my 21 dodge challenger for front struts replacement. It was easy to do just take your time. I did not feel in danger using this tool. The tool feels very sturdy for the price as well. When you compressor the spring tighten each side equally. I used a hand rachet and socket till the base of the spring was off the the seat of the strut. Then stop. Thank you for this useful tool.

Heavy duty, packaged in a carrying case to product intact. Well made tool for its purpose. Recommended !
