Yuzen Washi Paper 3.7" x 3.7", Japanese Chiyogami Washi Paper 30 Sheets

I was very leery of buying washi yuzen paper on Amazon, since Amazons quality has gone way downhill in the past few years. But the price for a set of 30 9.5 cm origami papers was great, especially if you had Prime shipping. So I bought them, not really expecting much. And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. While its not the best grade of washi Ive ever used, its still a decent grade and perfectly thick for standard origami, although it may not be precise enough for extremely complex pieces with lots of tiny folds. All the designs in the pack are unique, with no solids or non-washi mixed in and no designs duplicated at all. All pages were cut perfectly square as well. And with the exception of 3 pages, every single design had lots of metallic accents, and a few had multilayer designs which appeared and disappeared as you turned the page in the light. Every design is stunning in its own way, most highly detailed but even the simpler ones such as a small indigo checkerboard pattern or wash of metallic gold on white are beautiful. My only complaint about the set was it came in a simple cardboard backed plastic envelope with the logo shey paperclipped onto the first sheet. And those paperclips caused wrinkled dents in that sheet. But the sheet is still usable. Still, better to have the logo slip wrapped around the pack with paper tabs so it doesnt damage any sheets.

Every time I get my hands on this paper I love it more, folds so neatly and the patterns are always fun and surprising. Often you get a bunch of solid color sheet fillers but none with this batch, just stunning pattern after stunning pattern. (UPDATE 1/12/19) So I just ordered a fourth batch of this stuff, it's that good to work with. The best origami paper I've found hands down. You may see trends in pattern but rarely will you see duplicates of pattern and color. Never had a single solid color in any of my previous three batches and this paper just WANTS to fold. It's always cut perfectly square and never fights you for a fold. Just an absolute treasure to work with and worth every penny.

I use these papers for use in my jewelry designs and resin work. The colors are gorgeous. I could not wait to try them in my designs! The paper is a lovely quality that absorbs the jewelry resin well. While not the intended use for this product, I am very pleased with the quality, designs and colors. Great value for the money!

Of all the origami paper I've sampled from Amazon so far, I love these the best. Each of the two packs have arrived with different patterns, and they are all beautiful. Paper is sturdy, easy to fold. Also, other packs of washi paper I've bought space each patterned sheet out with a blank color piece (so 30 pieces is actually 15 patterned, etc). This pack has nothing but patterned paper.

I did not know what to expect when I bought this it was much smaller than I expected, but they are beautiful pieces.

Wanted to use this paper for origami (obviously) but the sheets weren't perfectly square to I'm having to cut the edges. Beautiful paper in photos and I'm person but it's purpose is rather defeated by having to cut... But I guess that's what you get for the price.

Good size and cut. Colors and prints are super calming. Smells like grandpa.

Perfect size for my needs. The paper was beautiful and all sheets were different within one pack. However, I did buy two packs and both packs contained the same sheets. Quality of paper was exactly what I was looking for (not just paper but more fabricy).
