I make a bunch of tops on my lathe as gifts for kids. The wood is gorgeous and the perfect size. Throw a 2 1/2' length in your 4 jaw chuck and away ya go. Be sure to burnish the tip.

Good product but does not match up to the purple wood in size off by a 1/8 so you have to cut it will go somewhere else next time

less planning required - all sides smooth... just cut to size and make some cutting boards.

Ends splinter free and gently sealed. 7lbs 5 oz for my 18" purchase or roughly 44lbs per cu/ft.

Wood is great, but they take forever to ship..
