Can I use a 8” rim with the 255/70/15

Yes you can. I mounted my 255/70R15s on 15X8 eight lug Indy slot mags no issues. Ran them on my 69 C20 Chevy truck. Also ran the same size on 15X10 eight lug steelies. I had to switch wheels as I literally drove the wheels off my truck several times. Actually rolled the rear truck bed quarter panel as the wheel got ran over during a turn. Luckily I had one stud left to bolt the wheel back on and drive it home about mile and a half. Do not recommend doing so but it's cheaper than a tow.
