Updated review: 3 months in and still LOVE it
This iPad is compatible with the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) which I strongly preferred over all the other pencils, so it was important to me to find an iPad that was compatible with that particular pencil. That pencil will magnetically attach to the iPad and will charge from the iPad rather than having to connect a charger to the pencil, so I thought that was neat. I use this iPad mainly for digital art, note taking, and writing books. It gets used for a 3-6 hours everyday and I always leave it turned on 24/7 and I only end up having to charge it every 3-4 days. I take it everywhere with me because while itโs not very small, itโs still smaller than any laptop and will fit in a large purse or tote that I carry around daily lol. Itโs great for graphic designers, digital artists, and/or students who need to take notes, study, do projects, or write papers (get a keyboard case for typing) and so much more. When drawing and making my digital art, the pencil glides across the screen so smoothly like an ink pen on paper, there is no LAG, no funky looking results or anything when drawing, everything comes out the exact same way that I draw it on the screen. And this is way better than buying a graphic tablet and having to hook it up to a laptop or PC. I havenโt had a laggy experience with doing anything on the iPad at all so far. Everything loads up and syncs up quite quickly I just love it soooo much. I got the wifi+cellular one but I donโt use the cellular connection, only the wifi connection. But I got cellular anyway in case I change my mind one day if I find that relying heavily on wifi everywhere I go, just to use my iPad, is no longer an option. But I probably wonโt though since my phone has a hotspot and majority of the time I just connect it to that if Iโm not at home to use wifi, still works like a charm. I am very pleased with my purchase and this was 100% worth the money. I do wish I had more storage though, I got the 256GB one but I wish they made this model with 1TB or 2TB storage.. But Iโm not complaining because I havenโt nearly run out of storage or anything, Iโm just afraid that I will create so many files or download so many apps that one day I MIGHT actually run ๐โโ๏ธ out ๐ but that day is probably a long way away.

Love this iPad
Love, love, love this iPad. Love the color, love the size, love what it can do, love the case with the keyboard. No more minis for me. Was reasonably priced, shipped well, easy to set-up and sync. Purchased a protection plan. I didn't know this would happen, this has become my portable streaming TV, music/podcast/audiobook player when I move from room to room and want some background, Love, love, Love.

I am really impressed
This is not my first iPad. I presently have an 12.9 iPad Pro 3rd generation with the magic keyboard, Apple Pencil 2, and an iPad Mini 5th generation. Both of them have cellular modems. I thought long and hard about upgrading the 12.9 to get the enhanced features M1 or M2 CPU, larger screen, Centerstage, etc. What I concluded was to take the advice of some of the Quacking Heads and consider the iPad Air with the M1 and cellular modem. I am so glad I that did. The cellular equipped Air is basically going to replace the iPad Mini. I thought about getting the 256Gb version but my Mini has only 4.4 Gb stored in iCloud+ so I decided on the 64Gb version. I talk to my wife who is in long term care for an hour every day on Facetime. The air centerstage feature is as good as the tracking implimentation on a Google nest Hub. What really impressed me today was the camera capability that kept adjusting the white balance of the screen that I was transmitting so my face was not blacked out even when the room lights were not turned on. Then when it approached sunset and the room was getting darker, the camera was providing a very acceptable picture quality, In fact the room in the picture was brighter than the room in real life.. After 3 Facetime sessions over 3 days I notice I use the Air for my Facetime Chat not the 12.9 Pro. I equiped my Air with a ZUGU case. I knew that the case had a pocket for storing the Apple Pencil, but a Suprise and Delight feature of the case was a mounting clip that stores the Aple Pencil in the position so it can wireless recharge from the iPad with the case open or closed, and it is readily accessable. As you can see from the pictures the Air is not all that much larger than the Mini but the screen area is considerably larger because of the minimezed bezels. I don't plan to use the Air with a keyboard, I still have the 12.9 Pro for that. The Air is going to become my portable tablet not my laptop wanabe.

I love this
I waited a long time to buy an iPad and wanted something compact and easy to transport. For my work, processing power is unnecessary though I prefer it. I was leaning towards the mini for its size but ended up settling on the iPad Air solely to have access to the Magic Keyboard. It truly changes the whole way I use my iPad. With the Magic Keyboard and M processor, the only thing stopping this from being a full blown laptop are the schackles that are the iPad OS.

Soooooo, I Don't Think People are Aware of What Samsung has to Offer
Alright before the Apple Fan boys chime in... In my house I have every operating system you can think of. Adroid, iOS, Windows, Mac, and by trade I am a Linux Systems Administrator. So I like technology and they all have pros and cons about them. However, when it comes to this particular iPad Air gen 5, I think it's a poor value. For tablets in the house I have a Galaxy Tab S8 plus and a Galaxy Tab S9 Plus. This tablet was supposed to replace the Tab S8+. I mainly use these for the kids.... entertainment on road trips, etc. But what I love about the Samung devices is that you can setup multiple accounts. So we were going to get rid of the S8+ and this iPad was going to be for my youngest but we alawys have the S9+ with all three user accounts on there (different Google IDs) if we want to use the Samsung. So best of both worlds right? Well, I honestly find the Samsung tablets better in every way except for the App store. I will give Apple that, the App store and Apple Arcade is slightly superior to Android's Play Store and Play Pass, aside from that, here are my findings: 1. Battery life on this iPad is absolute garbage. The Samsung Tab S series is far superior in battery life. 2. Processing power, so this one is a bug-a-boo, I have no doubt that the M1 is the better Processor, however, it's not noticable for our use-case. But... I think this a negative for the iPad Air. The M1 was initially designed for the MacBooks and I assume is so good for a mobile devices like the iPad, I'd be willing to bet that's why the batter life is so terrible. I bet the iPad with the A14 Bionic has the best battery life. If that had better speakers I think I would've gone with that. I also think the M1 in this device runs hot compared to other tablets. 3. Display: Aside from the iPad Pro, the Samsung screens are far superior than the Air or the iPad. 4. Speakers: OK, better than the Tab S8+ but not the Tab S9+. The S9+ has the best speakers. 5. UI: So I am a big fan of the fact that Android gives you gestures just like the iPad does right out of the box, however, you have the option of going back to the three button navigation which I still love to this day. This is especailly good for children using the iPads. 6. Security: The Samsung devices come with both Face ID and Touch ID. The iPad Air only comes with Touch ID which is on a thin power button. So my thoughts on this is that for children Face ID is optimal. My 5 year year old always has dirty hands, so basically the touch ID never works and I have to have the iPad unsecured for her to be able to swipe to unlock to access it which is really annoying and if stolen will be a problem. The fact that this device cost as much as it does and doesn't have face ID is a joke. Also, the fact that you really can't setup multiple users with different Apple ID's is a friggin joke and is just a way for Apple to make more money by people buying their separate iPads. Multiple Users is already a thing on Samsung devices, and this iPad is rocking an M1, the same processor as MacBooks and you're telling me you can't get multiple user feature in iPad OS? Get outta here! So I think that's about it and those are my observations. Hope this helps.

In love with my iPad Air
Just another comment expressing the perfection that Apple gives us. So far, AWESOME PRODUCT! Everything is going perfectly, my iPad works super well and gives me enormous ease in my academic and leisure tasks, and... I love the color pink. Buy it without fear, totally recommended. *I illustrate in the photos how the box comes freshly opened and what it contains.

Beautiful iPad Air
Purchased this Air to replace my second generation one. Iโm so happy with it. The display is clearer and more colorful. The transfer of information was super easy. Put them next to each other and they did the work! Quick and complete. Immediately applied a glass screen saver purchased separately. Itโs lightweight and a little bigger than the second generation. I included cellular with mine as itโs extremely helpful when traveling for finding restaurants, gas and local businesses. Easy transfer of the phone number from my old one too! Verizon took care of it in less than five minutes. Looking forward to many years of use.
