Question 1

were can i get the 1000 amp fuse i need to install

Accepted Answer

I'm not sure that there is any such thing as a battery that produces 1000 amps
You will likely be using a less than 1000 amp battery. Use an appropriate size fuse or breaker for each battery that you are running in parallel.

Question 2

1500 watts is equivalent to how many amps?

Accepted Answer

Hello,

Short Answer:
1500 Watts / 120 Volts = 12.5 Amps.

Long Answer:

Amps measure the flow of electricity as an electric current. You should think of electric current as the flow of water through a pipe. The more water flowing through the hose-pipe, the stronger the current is.

Volts are the measurement used to determine how much force is needed to cause the electric current to flow. In keeping with the earlier example, you could think of volts as the water pressure in the hosepipe, which makes the water flow.

Watts:
Amps multiplied by Volts equals Watts, which is the measurement used to determine the amount of energy. The higher the wattage is, the more power and output from the appliance. In terms of the hose-pipe example, this would refer to the amount of water being released.

Accepted Answer

Hello Julian,

Thank you for your interest in our 12v DC to 120V AC Proline 5,000 W Power Inverter, the device does not have any limitations on how many batteries you can use and you can use as many batteries as you'd like, you would just have to make sure that it retains a 12v Overall Battery Bank (connect the batteries in Parallel if they are all 12 volt batteries). And you can also add as many solar Panels as you want, making sure that they are properly installed through a sufficient Solar Charge Controller.
