Very handy
Just got this last week and have used it a few times. Works very well. I bought it to replace our indoor grill with a nonstick coating. I'm getting rid of all plastic and nonstick coatings regarding our cooking utensils etc. So, I wanted a cast iron grill pan with raised portions for the grill marks. Cast iron holds the heat evenly and you can get a good sear. So, I bought a Lodge pan to use on this induction cooktop and the combination works great. I plan to get some more pans to use on it, because my stainless pans do not attract a magnet, so they won't work. If you put the wrong pan on it or no pan the unit won't come on. I like that safety feature. I've only had it a couple of weeks, so hope it lasts and the quality doesn't let me down. We have gas stove and I hate using it because of the clean up when you fry or sear meat.

Still going strong after 5 years
This has been my only cooktop for five years. I use it almost daily, and often several times a day. I was just making pasta and it dawned on me that I’ve had this longer than any appliance I purchased online, and decided to write a review. My family is HARD on kitchen appliances. We don’t have a traditional oven so we use microwaves, air fryers, toaster ovens, crock pots, and this induction cooktop. Items like these aren’t really meant to be your sole method of cooking and they do seem to break accordingly. I have teenage boys too, messy boys that like to crank things up to fill heat and splash food and liquid everywhere. Things break. This cooktop has not been one of those things. I hate Digital Touch buttons, because they always stop working right. These buttons have not done that. No matter how hard we are on this cooktop, it has worked exactly as well as It did the first day we took it out of the box. I’m honestly a little terrified that I’m going to jinx myself even writing this, that it will remind the universe that this no name cooktop was actually supposed to brick itself years ago. Even if that happens it’s worth it because the review needs to be written- this is a five star product in a sea of planned obsolescence. The basics? The footprint is about half the depth of my non-working oven that it sits upon. A bit less than the same length. I follow the “working tv on top of a broken on” style of laziness. Water boils far quicker than my old electric oven by a long shot. I also love that it doesn’t stay hot after cooking for very long. Very easy to use all around. The only downsides is that you can’t run both burners at the highest temperature at the same time, but honestly this has rarely been an issue for me. My sons complain but that’s only because they cook everything on high when they shouldn’t be. You’ll need induction friendly cookware, if a magnet sticks to it, you’re good. Seriously though, the only thing that’s outlasted this is my ancient crock pot from the 90’s- and that will probably outlast me.

Excellent cook top
I bought this for use in my Airbnb. My guests use it all the time and I feel safe that nothing will catch on fire. It's simple to use and very easy to keep clean.

Great little workhorse!
This review is for the double induction cooktop with knobs. I specifically wanted the control knobs over the digital because I am old and that's how I need to roll into the 21st century. Bought this for a temp kitchen while we remodel it. Wanted to get a sense of what we'd be working with for the 3 months we'll be out of commission. I must say, I like it! As advertised, it's only 1800w, so it doesn't have the same power that my range/cooktop will have, so there have been some hits and some misses. Hits include boiling water. SO FAST! Misses: hamburgers were a fail. I needed to move the grill over to my gas range and finish them off. Also, it cooks differently in a way I can't really describe. It will take some getting used to--you need to watch it since food does cook a bit faster it seems. As for this particular unit, it's got some glitches people should be aware of. Sometimes turning the knob to the right, the temp (power) goes down when it should go up. It's not a big deal and if you keep turning, it eventually rights itself, but it's an annoying bug. The timer is also a bit annoying. It starts at 10 min but one turn to the right and it immediately goes up to 20 minutes (when I only want like 13), so I end up spending stupid amounts of time diddle-futzing with it. Ultimately, it's not a big deal and I still love it and I can't wait for my full-size one in my new kitchen. Will keep this and whip it out should we ever need additional burners or want to host something outdoors. Great gadget and highly recommend if you 're interested in giving induction cooking a go!
