Asmodee Arkham Horror The Card Game The Path to Carcosa CAMPAIGN EXPANSION - Embrace the Madness, Lovecraftian Cooperative LCG, Ages 14+, 1-4 Players, 1-2 Hour Playtime

Now one of my favorite games to get to the table. I was intimidated to purchase, because I am on the Medium to light weight gaming side and this had a high complexity rating on BGG. It can be played 1 to 4 players, so to learn the game, I setup a solo scenario. Adding in and taking out players is as easy as adjusting a few terror tokens and redistributing supplies. I would recommend not shuffling the cards as they are in a specific order on purpose, I had to reorganize all of mine with some expansions mixed in, not super hard but took time. The game is almost entirely played by cards and the deckbuilding elements are slowly introduced. I believe there are ways to "build" your own detective, but there are recommended character sets that made the game so easy to setup. This game is great whether you are new to deckbuilding or a veteran; it is slowly introduced in the intro scenarios, but the ability to finely tweak your deck is always there. The map is built upon cards, narrative is fed through a story book of cards, and monsters are cards. Replaying a scenario is easy, because every card is categorized and numbered. Upgrading your character through a campaign is very satisfying and depending on how you complete different chapters, the outcomes may be different. Highly recommend if you are on the fence.

Good game, good quality

Playing solo - one investigator - and made it to Scenario 4 so far before things came to an insane end (literally). If you like the game and don't have this campaign, I recommend it - but only after you have mastered some of the easier campaigns first.

Great game box was a little damaged

Fantastisch, dass diese Kampagne jetzt direkt im Einzelset zu beziehen ist. Im Oktober 2024 noch dazu zu einem sehr guten Preis. Carcosa wird bei vielen Rezensen als die seit Erscheinen mitunter beste Erweiterung eingestuft.

Doos beetje beschadigd, maar verder prima.

The gamebox was crushed on one corner, rendering it unable to be used. The game itself is a great game and this expansion is awesome though when it’s usable.

The package arrived very damaged. Luckily the cards were fully intact. The box is total garbage now though. The cards themselves are a good addition to the game but if you want an undamaged product I’d order somewhere else.
