What amp/dac works well with the trygr 300r on ps5 ?

I use a Schiit Fula E. Its awesome. I wish I had gotten the Schiit Hel since it has more power but I'm happy.

Is tygr 300r better for *gaming* than dt 900 pro x? such as being able to hear footsteps?

The Tygr 300R has a more exciting sound to them. They are tuned more on the mids and low, with the highs being dialed back a bit. These can compare to the DT 990 Pros, just with better positional accuracy and tamed treble. If you are looking for a gaming headphone, get this or the MMX 300. They are by far, the best all around for gaming and media enjoyment.
