I am a mechanic and I have used this product on several 4.0 ford engines. I have never had any issues. If you are attempting this repair make sure you replace the center front double tooth camshaft sprocket bolt and the rear lower jack shaft bolt. both of these bolts are one time use. They can break if you try and reuse them. This is a time consuming job so that should tell you this is a good product since i have chosen to use it multiple times.

Don’t think the quality is there
This is not a great kit noise was gone for a week now it is back. I thought it was way cheaper made the the ones I took out. This is a lot of work and gaskets three new torque to yield bolts at over 30 as well.

Pulled motor to replace guides, everything fit ok except the front main tensioner, it went in tighter than expected. Engine ran mint for 300kms after re installation, then the front tensioner let go, the spring steel came out and the tensioner folded, chain skipped and now I got bent valves. Do not risk using these parts, go to Ford and pay the extra. The only reason I ordered these in the first place was because both my trucks went down within the same week and I could not get parts fast enough for them. I opted for Amazon parts so I could fix my one truck quickly, now the motor has to go to the machine shop. Wtf Happened to QC? I better get refunded…
