This 24” L x 16” diameter lawn spreader is a heavy duty yet lightweight roller that can evenly spread any dry, fine topdressing material such as peat moss, compost, manure, and topsoil. We bought it cause we need to spread some dirt to make the backyard where we have grass even, it has lots of holes and sometimes when you walk you can twisted your foot if you’re not putting attention where you’re going and this roller makes it very easy to even up our lawn since automatically breaking up big chunks and clumps as it tumbles, allowing only the desire material to enter the lawn while keeping trash inside the drum. It has and all-steel construction which makes it strong and sturdy, the mesh cylinder drum has diamond-shaped openings. It breaks up clumpy materials as it tumbles, leaving behind any unwanted large residuals in the drum. The T handle shape is a really nice upgrade, it makes it easy to grab and work with, plus the handle is cover with some type of rubber foam that is good during summer cause does not get hot and also is more comfortable to use. This metal spreader lawn roller is perfect for use in any yard and garden. Before planting new grass seeds, since it helps smooth uneven ground. Another great advantage using this roller before sowing, is that helps accelerate germination by ensuring that the seeds are in contact with the soil, in addition, this turf spreader roller is designed to provide you with a convenient experience. U-shaped handle makes rolling easier to push and pull. Although made of steel, the rolling body is very light, so you can easily store and transport it. Hinged door opens conveniently and closes securely with quick release hitch pin clips, so easy to assemble. So if you intend to find an easy tool to culture your lawn, this compost spreader is a perfect option. Its 1/2 x 3/4 diamond-shaped holes allow for uniform distribution. Overall T-shaped handle makes rolling easier to push and pull. Even though is made of steel, the rolling body is very light, so it can be easily store and transport it. Durable, sturdy and rust resistant, Works like a charm! Sometimes basic technology is the best. I would recommend this item.

Upon delivery, I was delighted to find the item in excellent condition, easily assembled without tools due to the accompanying installation brackets and hardware. Using the spreader to spread compost over new grass seed, I was more than satisfied with its performance. Though it was not able to perform optimally due to the excess moisture of the compost, it did the job well, capturing any small roots and rocks. Furthermore, I feel confident it would be a perfect tool for spreading loam over a lawn or garden as well. It seems well made, and all in all, I am thoroughly pleased with the product and am sure it will serve me for many years to come.

Product works well and dispenses the peat moss, sand, topsoil, lawn soil to remove wood chips and other material in it. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the latches on it are a pain having to remove them and clip them back on each time you need to refill it. Some other products have them on the side that seems way easier and more practical. It be great if instead of their being 3 in the middle, there was one on each side and then just one in the middle. The latches also seem a little flimsy but so far they lasted for this season of use.

I received the compost spreader today and after assembling it, the design of it has exceeded my expectations. It is sturdy and solid. No defects at all. For the price, I didn't expect it to be this high of quality. Since many of these spreaders can be in the several hundred range. Almost expected for something to be wrong with it. Assembly was easy. Did it in a few minutes. Based on the look of the pictures, I was expecting something much smaller. You know the deal where something looks larger in the pictures but come to find out it is actually much smaller than what the pictures were. THAT was not the case here. I am very happy with this purchase and it will make putting Coco Coir (which is like peat moss) on top of my grass seeds an easy process. Last spring, I failed my lawn project. I didn't put any cover over the grass seeds and I ended up with a patchy lawn and there were areas where the grass didn't end up growing because the birds ate the seeds. The weeds took over pretty much my entire lawn and now I am back at square 1. Do yourself a favor and do it right the first time. This time, I am taking all the necessary steps with hopefully better results. If you are in a similar predicament as me, don't cut corners and go ahead and buy this. It will save you time and money.

This takes about the same amount of time as spreading it manually, but does it much more uniformly. As a result, plan on using more peat moss than you did spreading it with a shovel. The real work is handling the bales of peat moss, so find yourself a healthy teenage neighbor. Well constructed with snaps on the sides that won't get beaten up as the drum rolls through the dirt. The one drawback is It won't work well on an incline since the peat moss will move to the low end.

If you are looking for an easy-to-use garden tool for spreading soil and peat moss, look no further. I used this extensively to reseed my back yard, and it saved me loads of time. Spreading is even and it's well built. Assembly is a bit of a struggle as you have to line everything up, but not a big deal. Only complaint is the 3 snaps have small hooks that sometimes get caught when you're fastening the other two. The clips could be a bit larger and perhaps have slightly less give to keep them extended rather than collapse into the space between the swing-out door and the closure.

4 stars because the lid is hard to close and gets stuck when trying to open it. It keeps bending and I have to bend it back into place. Seems to be good quality beyond that, handle is sturdy and it filters out the rocks and sticks that I don't want.

Another brand I was looking to buy was sold out. Turns out lucky for me. It was a quick delivery and $100 cheaper than the other. It arrived in perfect condition and was super easy to assemble the handle. It actually looked better than I had expected. The 3 clips that secure the drum are well designed and are compact. Some thought went into this design and the clips do not impede the spread of the your composting. It applies an good even spread of peat moss. The next time I use the spreader I will pre-screen the peat moss before I load in in the spreader. This will eliminate having to clean out the drum from the twigs which are in the peat moss bags. If I were buying cubic-yards of bulk product from the nursery I would be looking for "screened" product. Stongly recommend this Walensee 24 inch Spreader.

Verbogen, verbeult, Netzgitter ausgerissen .. Einzigst Positive ist die Bereitschaft vom Hersteller, dass defekte Produkt aus auszutauschen. Leider kam das Ersatzgerät ebenfalls defekt an. Preis Leistung stimmen hier definitiv nicht.

I was very hesitant to buy this for fear of it being super cheap. As I turns out it's actually very well built. I was hit hard by skunks and coons on my front yard from grubs. Since you cannot buy anything worthwhile to eliminate grubs ( I have tried every product out there ) this is an ongoing battle with springtime repair. For the last few years I've done it will wheelbarrow and shovel spreading on average 3 to 5 yards hand bombing and leveling. This little unit saves the day! I now buy in 1 yard bags triple mix, lift and place as required and fill the roller. I get approx 2 passes with each fill. It works flawlessly! Seriously! It not only saves time but also saves a ton of product. I used 2 yards this year which saves $, and was able to easily overseed and top dress in re order time. Word of caution if using triple mix. Depending on the moisture if will create tiny little pellets of soil as it spins. My wife thought e erynow and then the piles created were deer droppings! :) they break down very quickly. I would think a regular soil may not have any issues or more peat based. It worked extremely well with soil. I did look at buying a larger roller for double the money but I am sure then with heavy product I would not have been able to roll it. Highly recommend product!

L'ha usato mio marito nel giardino... Avevamo visto il prodotto un15 giorni prima a 175euro invece nn è arrivato,perché anno visto che il prezzo non era compatibile con l attrezzo,quindi siamo stati rimborsati ed il prodotto è stato tolto per 2 giorni dal commercio su qualsiasi sito,poi è tornato con un il prezzo quasi al doppio 320euro..e ovviamente siccome serviva, abbiamo effettuato un altro pagamento....però mio marito è rimasto soddisfatto...quindi che dire,anche se è un po caro,è molto utile per hi fa giardinaggio...è un attrezzo che non può mancare

suggestion. there should be a tarp that fits over the barrel to compact as the last step. Seed contact withsoil is key!
