It's difficult to purchase certain things online because we're left trying to discern what we're getting by reading the descriptions and reviews. We cannot touch it, smell it, etc.. Often reviews seem to be based on satisfaction which hinges on perspective. There are over 100 species of pine. Some smell great and include soft sweet notes, bright citrus notes, or down right icky catbox-like smell. But they all include that pine scent either stronger and in your face or weaker masked with the other notes. Take all the complimenting or contrasting scents away and you're left with pine, pure pine scent. That said, this pine oil is not a Balsam fir scent, like a Christmas pine tree smell, so if that is what you're looking for, you will be disappointed. It's exactly as described, pine scent. To me, it's as if you rubbed together the needles of white pine in your fingers, fresh, pure pine scent. I cannot detect any other notes. It's bright but not citrusy. It's perfect if that's what you're looking for. Came in two days, well packaged and included a long dropper so you can reach the bottom of the large bottle. Is it large? Ah, you're left with my perspective ;)

Smells like pinesol cleaner - not outdoors or piñon…company deducts shipping from refund, so order with care - refunds are not free…rather $8.

I enjoy this pine needle essential oil, though I do have to say that it does not smell strongly like pine, but still an earthy tone. I use this essential oil every couple weeks over my drift car freshener wood piece in my car, which keeps the interior smelling great. I use it in my diffuser as well. Highly recommend.

Pine Needle was...not pine needle. Smelled weird, and not at all like any other pine needle oil I've ever had. Not pleasant, either.

Smells exactly as expected. I like that the bottle came with a solid lid with the dropper on a separate lid.
