Great product. My husband sits at his computer all day. He listens to streaming music; however, he also has many music CD's which he loves, however, they are housed in an attractive case across the room. I purchased this for him for Christmas so that he can listen to his CD's while at his desk. (Note: I also purchased disc holders for his desk). He has a desk top computer, so we plugged it into a USB port on his tower, and it worked immediately. I am so please with this product and most important so is my husband.

Wow! I have had problems with ordering 3.5 disk drive readers. But this product worked as soon as I plugged it in my computer. I found a bunch of old CD's with photos on them and was able to download the photos to my cloud account. It was smooth and seamless! I would highly recommend this product. It comes in a really well put together case.

Works great buuuut it's too lightweight and the cable that comes with it is too short, which together make it difficult to find a place to rest it down while you use it. (side note, it doesn't work with extension cables) So far, though, I have had zero technical problems with it.

Very good system to purchase for my new laptop. Easy to install and use the additional ports. I would give it 5 stars. It comes with its own case. There are many CD's that I have for HAM radios that I have that need to be put on the laptop.

The wife wanted this to read some of her old computer CDs. Works fine.

After purchasing a far cheaper portable CD/DVD unit and gviing it 5-STARS! It died after 2 days. As I said it was much cheaper AND had no AUX POWER means, these units NEED THEIR OWN PSU! Miss the good o'l days of a big clunky TOWER PC that all the power & connection for INTERNAL DEVICES. Using this on a very scaled down DELL "TOWER" if you can call it that - these should only be needed with a laptop, even many of those had their own DVD bay - WOW! I do not consider the need to plug in a bunch of external devices an advancement. If all you do is play games fine - but if you have work to be done, you need access to ALL your software NEW & OLD. (Old will usually always be on CD ROMS). At this price I am not anticipating a failure, but I will keep all posted.

I have received countless emails from this company asking me to review this product and asking if I was having problems. I have never received so many emails from after buying a product through Amazon. Even after reporting to Amazon, I’ve received emails from them and I can’t block them without blocking all Amazon emails. I’m not sure if writing a review is going to stop them but I figure it can’t hurt at this point. Even if I ignored the fact that I am essentially being harassed by this company, I probably would not recommend this player. The DVD player itself is subpar. Exactly what I’d expect from a relatively cheap player. It works for the most part but lags a fair bit. For whatever reason the eject button for the disk holder only works when the player is empty. So it works when I try to put the disk in but not to get the disk out. However I can right click on the icon that appears on my desktop and click eject and it will open the player. This DVD player is not worth it!

The Roofull external CD DVD external drive is a basic product at a great price. It has a SD card reader and USB ports hub plus I bought the model with the carrying case (which is soft and has "bubble" insulation inside to protect the drive). I bought this drive because I upgraded my desktop computer and the newer version came with a compact box instead of the very large CPU unit that I had on my desk and the new CPU did not have a CD/DVD drive. I am "old school" and still have many CD and DVD's that I like to play and some have files on them (e.g., my tax returns) that I may need to access in the future. I looked at various other products on Amazon and chose the Roofull because it met my needs and price point.

I had an external cd player that my computer would no longer recognize when I upgraded to windows 11. I wasn't sure if this one would work. I just plugged it in and it worked perfectly. It's larger than I expected but it's solidly built and the quietest I've ever had. I love that the cord is separate from the unit and is longer than the players with the cord attached under the unit. The beautifully padded case keeps everything together. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again if I needed an other one.
