I’ve had an APEC under sink water filter going on three years now. Love it! Our city’s water is so chlorinated you can smell it when you turn on the sink. We’ve now got a water softener in the garage and the APEC filter system under the sink and drinking water is enjoyable now. I’ve turned into a bit of a water snob. Our APEC water is so fabulous I have a hard time drinking anything else.

Replacement for an existing system. Good value.

Installed this for my elderly parents who were initially purchasing cases of 1 gallon drinking water (of which I had to hoist upstairs and place for them). It was far too cumbersome, not to mention, wasteful of plastic bottles. Since installing, the filters lasted us 8 months. That's ~$10/month. Not bad for extremely refreshing, wonderful tasting drinking water. I use this water for my Breville Barista Pro every morning for exquisite-tasting espressos and can rest assured that I'm receiving the best there is. Easy to install. My only precaution is to prepare a big enough tub to place your system in and once you unscrew each filter, water may spill out. It's a bit fiddly, but nothing this non-DIY-er can't handle. I think I replaced it (from opening the box to throwing out the old filters) in less than 1 hour! Be sure to test the water running before placing it back under the sink in case of any leaks so you can adjust the tightening of each. I was a bit concerned right after replacement of the water pressure (it was dribbling coming out), but after the initial 15 minutes, I left it alone, and in 2 hours, the water pressure was as strong as ever. Can't recommend this enough, and now I've set myself a notification on my calendar 7 months in advance so that I can anticipate its next replacement. Super simple!
