See dimensions to suit your needs. For me, I use it to store 9mm ammunition, but can see it having plenty of space for a few hours at the range - with reasonable tetris skills, this field box can easily fit some (50x) boxes of 9mm, a couple (25x) shotgun shells, a few (50x) boxes of .22, even some magazines. My reasons for buying multiple of these is a) the ease of locking, b) stacking ability, c) sturdiness, d) appropriate size for my uses (allows me to store a good portion of ammunition but not ALL of my ammo, thus I don't need to constantly open a massive ammunition box to get some ammo.
