This is a really unique and fun kit! It has so many recipes and ingredients that you can mix and match with things you have at home. The sauce containers are really high quality and look very cool. I'm a bit scared to try some of the peppers since they smell REALLY spicy, but it's such a cool concept for a DIY that leaves you with a tasty reward!

The heat level does not disappoint. They give you some really good spices and peppers to use in the kit. My brother in law really liked how he could make his own hot sauces to him taste. My brother in law loved the gift and it is very good value for the money.

So I followed the sweet heat recipe and thought I'd spice it up a Lil by adding 2 Carolina reapers and one ghost pepper to the mix. Waited the 10 days (do not store in fridge like I did the first batch it doesn't ferment as good), then followed the rest of the recipe except I added 4oz too much diced tomato. After cooking it down I tasted it and it wasn't hot or spicy just real tomatoey. Didn't have my strainers yet so thought nothing of it. It sat for a week in fridge and I decided to make tacos. Bright idea let me add a spoonful of my "hotsauce"( it was still like salsa due to not straining it yet) to the meat as I cook it. Made my tacos and after 3 bites they tasted like nothing. First thought O no! I got the rona! 3 negative test and 4 hrs later my taste buds where back, weird. Next day for lunch I'm gonna heat up my leftovers, boom once again about 3 bites in no taste. At this point I'm like with. Long story short it had so much capsaicin in it when I was done it was killing my taste buds! Tldr; follow the direc5ions or kill your taste buds! Kit is awesome

Everything arrived in great shape and the three decanters are beautiful but there was no Recipe card. I gave it as a gift and have no idea how to get one. I’d have given it five stars had the recipe card been included.

I hosted a hot sauce making class at work and bought a few of these. Each person got to make their own hot sauce and take home one of the cute glass skull jars! The jars are a little on the small side but it was perfect for a nice sample to try. Note there are ingredients that you still need to purchase to complete the hot sauce such as vinegar, tomatoes, onions etc. Not much and most you should already have at home.

Cool gift idea, DIY hot sauce. I bought it for my husband. The low stars is for the disturbing packaging, not a fan of whatever designs they had.

This made a wonderful little gift. It looked fancy in its box. Since this was a gift I can’t speak on the product but it appeared to be high quality and was enjoyed by a food enthusiast.
