Lock-Jaw Barbell Collars Flex Quick Release Aluminum with Magnet (Black)

I just got these in yesterday and used them today for the first time and initial impressions are good. They lock down on the bar good and tight. The one had release is actually a pretty nice feature to have. My only complaint is that the magnet on side could be a little stronger. It sticks to the rack but sometime I would put it on and it would slide down a little. Not off but down and it would stop and stay there. But overall I like it.

Magnet is just glued to the housing and came off upon immediate first use. $60 for this seems insane. Super tough to get on a brand new barbell from REP and also the clamp is hard to takeoff. Definitely do not reccomend.

At first one was very tight & a little tough to get on/off both with the lever & sliding it on. After a week or two of heavy use however, the plastic mechanism snapped off(see picture) which made it much more smooth. Still 5 stars because besides that I don't think it has effected performance. Probably going to pick up another pair of these. Once you try magnets on your collars you probably won't want to go back

I bought these collars hoping they would be magnetic to stay out of the way and stick to racks. I knew I should not have gone with something off Amazon for this. These are below average collars with a tiny magnet on one edge of a pentagon( not all of the edges, just one). There isn’t even a magnet on the sides to lay them flat against a rack or weight plate. When I first opened them I thought they sent me the wrong item because they wouldn’t stick to other objects. I had to play around with it just to find out where the magnet was, which completely misses the point of having magnetic collars. I’d return them but I am not sure where the packaging went because I didn’t think I would need it. Very misleading description. I would keep them if they were even decent collars but they are not. I will throw them out where they belong.
