Works Instantly
Worked perfectly with my Vizio TV. No setup needed, just added batteries and it worked right away. Great value and very easy to use.

Like it came with my TV
Awesome remote! I was a little skeptical at first since there weren’t any instructions in the packaging, but it couldn’t have been easier to use. Just pop in the batteries, hit the power button, and it works right away—no codes, no setup. Feels like it came with the TV.

Awesome
Update review started falling apart then stopped working They are right worked right away! My dog ate my original remote I got a GE universal remote it worked pretty good but then it fell off the nightstand and broke so I had to get another one so this time I want it a remote that actually went with the TV. Very surprised at the price a lot lower than I thought but programming. A remote is a pain. So when I read this one work after you put batteries in thought I’ll give it a shot. Well, guess what easy as pie

Fantastic product, but fragile
Highly responsive. Great ergonomics, especially for a product that we interact with multiple times a day. Very fragile though. Buy a case for it if you have tile floors.

Works nice with my Vizio D-Series
I purchased this because I like having the qwerty keyboard. I thought the shape would be better - it is shorter but feels larger or wider in my hand. I think I just need to get used to it. I really don't like the remotes that come with the Vizio's now. They have no keyboard and actually require you to know more about how to use a few buttons. I don't like the skinny rounded shape either. This remote's center arrow area is silcone or rubber and the remote is two toned, gray and black. My old remote didn't let me move app selections around or delete the ones I don't want and this one is user friendly. I am ordering another one. I wish these remotes were a different color because they disappear sometimes due to being obscure black. I have three D-series Vizios and this remote works fine with them.

Replacement for slow original remote
Excellent replacement for the OEM remote which would require several clicks to get anything to happen. Fun fact, you can't see IR, but your phone camera can. Open your camera point your remote at it and check how well your remote works. I did a side by side test in my video. Every light click on the new remote works, listen for the clicks and compare them to the IR light on my old remote. Many don't go. It was frustrating just navigating simple menus. On top of it, the keyboard works on most (haven't tested all) apps. My TV is an M658-G1, zero programming needed. Popped in batteries and off we went.

Doesn’t work
This remote is terrible. It has a weak signal so you need to click the same button several times for it to respond even after putting in new batteries. The keyboard doesn’t work which was the whole reason I bought it. Will be retuning.

Almost a grand slam, but…
As a lifelong fan of the 90s era Atlanta Braves, I can confidently say that my Vizio remote is the Greg Maddux of remotes—precise, reliable, and always delivering exactly what I need. From the sleek design to the way it effortlessly controls every aspect of my TV, this remote has become my go-to for navigating my entertainment experience. Much like the Braves' powerful lineup back in the day, this remote covers all the bases. It's as versatile as Chipper Jones, switching between apps, volume control, and settings with the grace of a Hall of Famer. Every button press is a home run, launching me straight into my favorite shows with no lag or misfires. But as with any great team, there’s always that one glaring weakness, and for the Vizio remote, it’s the keyboard buttons. Imagine expecting to see a Maddux shutout, only for the bullpen to give up a late-inning lead. That’s the disappointment I feel every time I press a keyboard button, only to have it register the wrong letter or symbol. It's like calling up a relief pitcher only to have them blow the save—everything falls apart. This remote had all the potential to be an all-star in every way, but the keyboard button issue is its Achilles’ heel. If Vizio could fix this, we’d be looking at a remote worthy of the World Series title. Until then, it remains a brilliant piece of equipment with a heartbreaking flaw—like those Braves teams that just couldn’t seal the deal until '95.
