Ideal User I purchased this lighted magnifier to use for identifying small seeds and plants for an agronomy class. The model I purchased was an Ultra Optix #SV-2LP-LED Pock Lighted Magnifier. I do not recommend this tool for children to use. The ideal user for this product would be someone that needs to look at small objects with detail. I would also recommend this product to any student in need of a hand lens for identifying plants or seeds in classes or crops competitions. I am excited to use this in the future for identification in future agronomic courses and my career. Positive Characteristics The criteria I used to evaluate the lighted magnifier were the clarity of magnification, durability, and difficulty of usage. I have found that the magnification is exceptional for identifying small details. This magnifying glass has made identifying wheat seeds much easier because of clarity that it provides for viewing the brush and cheeks of the seed. When looking at plants this magnifying glass helps to magnify any pubescence on the leaves or stems. The simple design of the product makes it easy for any person to use. The LED light is very useful for distinguishing small details in poor lit environments. The handle is designed to allow anyone to have a good grip. The durable design prevents cracking of the lens or frame even when accidently dropped. This product is a convenient size and is easily packable. This magnifying glass unfortunately does not come with a case; however, there are small pouches available that it can easily be stored in. Small cases can be purchased on Amazon at a minimal cost to alleviate this inconvenience. As a full time student, having this magnifying glass in a small size is important because of the limited space in my backpack. Since it is such a convenient size, I am able to bring this magnifying glass with me daily. Overall, I have been very satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, small magnifying glass.

This is handy for reading the mouse-print found in many product instructions these days. Diameter is a bit small for reading pages in a book, but that is the necessary trade-off for having 7X magnification instead of (say) 4X. Light works as expected.

Single light source higher power magnifier. Perfect for coins, 1.5 inch glass allows you to see more of coin surface & single light source does not washout view. Searched a while for a handheld for finding errors, best one so far & I might stop looking. That good.

I don't wear glasses, but I love these things because they are so precise. I have them everywhere: in my toolbox and desk at home, toolbox at work, bike toolbox, backpack, etc. I was in a dog training class where the dogs were running around the ranch and one of them stepped on a cactus. I had one of these in my backpack, borrowed some eyebrow tweezers from one of the ladies, and was able to remove every last of even the tiniest needles from the dogs paw. It went from limping around to up and running again. Great product!

Small enough to carry in your pants pocket. Works well for the visually impaired.

Cheaply made in the magnification sucked

I've used magnifiers most of my life, as I am legally blind. This one is is easy to throw in a pocket or a bag small lightweight. I could use a little stronger magnification personally, as well I wish it had a dial for the strength of the light. The light is is bright, but a times can be too bright in certain situations. Other than that I would consider this to be a good buy. If you need a magnifying glass.
