I recently bought this flea comb to help clean around the my dogs eyes, and it’s been a game changer! It’s the perfect size for gently removing those stubborn gunk spots around his eyes without hurting him. The fine teeth of the comb catch all the little bits and do a much better job than any cloth or tissue I’ve tried before. My dog usually hates being groomed around his eyes, but he stays surprisingly calm when I use this comb, which says a lot! It’s also super easy to clean, and I love that I can use it for other grooming needs too. Highly recommend this little tool—it’s a must-have for any dog parent dealing with eye boogers!

I have four fur babies, two dogs and two cats and without question fleas are a problem at my house. Even with regular flea treatment these tiny pests can cause a huge problem. One of my dogs is very allergic to them, so even just a couple of fleas will cause her to lose her fur. My two dogs have similar fur, medium length, and I have a short haired cat and a long haired cat. Here are my thoughts on it: This flea comb seems to work great for what I have used it for. It has two rows of teeth on the comb so even if the flea manages to slip past the first row I often find them stuck between the two rows in the middle. The handle is alright, nothing special just a basic plastic handle. This comb works perfectly for my dogs, medium length fur. they are labs so it can tend to be a little thicker in some regions than in others. I was able to comb out the fleas fairly easily. It worked well on both of my cats as well, easily pulling out fleas and their associated dander.

If I could give this 4.5 stars, I would. I love the ease of use, the effectiveness and the size. I do not love that it's difficult to clean. When I got this, I began using it immediately on my wiry haired pug mix. It picked out every flea on her neck, however, as I was attempting to clean the comb and move on to another area, fleas were crawling out of the space between the rows of combs. It's a small space, so I hadn't thought that'd be an issue. I had a container of soapy bleach water nearby that I quickly swished the comb through to clean it out. That worked. I then bathed my dog before combing her again. At this point, I was getting dead fleas, so escapees weren't an issue. This comb is incredibly effective in removing fleas. I am very pleased with my purchase and if I ever need to replace this comb, I will repurchase this same kind. I don't anticipate needing to replace it any time soon though. This comb is well made and stands up to being thrown against a brick wall by a naughty toddler tantrum. :)

My elder (19 years old) kitty has a flea problem and as she has health issues, I didn't want to expose her to flea prevention medications. I got this flea comb to see if I can control fleas this way. I am amazed how well it works and is easy to use! Also, it is gentle on the skin as it has rounded tips so is not harsh on my princess's bony frame! I was just brushing her gently and fleas were trapped on the comb! Then I placed the comb in the dish filled with water mixed with dish detergent to start killing them and trap before removing from comb while the comb was in water (so the fleas wouldn't just jump back on my kitty!). And my kitty likes the brushing, too! In 3 days of combing my girl just a couple times a day , I went from catching close to 30 fleas to just 1! And my girl sleeps now more peacefully and doesn't scratch as much - so the comb must be working!! I am planning to brush my kitty with this comb every day to catch any new ones that may dare to bother my princess.

Product works well, and seems to be gentle on their skin. Even my dogs who hate being combed don’t mind this one. It really picks up a lot of fleas and debris. But I had a few teeth come loose and fall out within the first few minutes of using it. It’s still usable, but it doesn’t work as well now. That is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

Using this comb with a flea spray that is safe for your dog's skin is the ULTIMATE in "de-bugging". The double row of teeth either combs the fleas up and out, or they get stuck between the teeth. Either way, the fleas are no longer on your beloved pet. I go in between the teeth with a paper towel and a metal finger nail file, pushing the paper towel through the middle. This cleans the comb right out. You'll see more bugs than you thought after cleaning the comb. This comb even picks up the flea poo (dark dots). I thought the dark dots were flea eggs, but learned differently. The larva is actually white glanuals (looks like salt). Since getting educated on what they look like, I can see them now. This comb pulls the larvae and flea poo off the skin. My dogs get great relief after a combing. I'm still doing battle with these little pests and I will win, eventually. Update:--The comb is still awesome, but alone, it could not win the war. I resorted to digestable flea tablets to put an end to the whole ordeal. The tablets were like nuclear bombs to the fleas. They were ALL GONE THE NEXT DAY! It was a miracle, and I wish I hadn't wasted so much time with my dogs suffering with fleas.

I don't usually bother leaving reviews but this flea comb is great. We have a long-haired cat (Norwegian Forest type) and I couldn't get our previous flea comb through his thick fur. This one slides through beautifully and removes the fleas. You can then squish them with your nail against the purple handle, if you wish. The cat loves it so we can do it daily and keep the fleas down.

One of the best flea combs. I purchased a persian kitten who is extremely small at the moment. The grip handle is perfect for holding the comb. I have purchased a whole set of combs by Hertzco. The handles are very comfortable to hold and extremely well made. These items by this company are made to last. They are not flimsy at all. You get what you pay for.

Better than single prong combs. Fur needs to be tangle free to use.

Brilliant little comb. Just introduced a new puppy into a breeding cat household and needed to be sure we were free of little additions!! Perfect for puppies and kittens.

Very nice to use, picks up loads of fleas and keeps them caught in between the two prongs until you can dispose of them really well. Solid product, worth every penny.
