Wearing it under a shirt in July... hot weather.... How did it wear in hot weather for you??

Wasn't real hot where we were but in 70s and it was fine

Hi Lin, we have two options to buy. One is with sleeves for 3 extra dollars, and the one you posted your questions comes without sleeves :) So, yes, you can just order the one without sleeves. Hope that answered your question.

Is strap long enough to go over your shoulder

Yes. Measuring the strap from the center of the holder to the center of the strap when fully extended (so the strap is making a V-shape) is about 21 inches.
