I will try and update it on the computer, but a little disappointed it didnt work on the first try . OVERALL: Im really happy with this item - Ive been through all kinds of tech and this is like the iphone of radar detectors - has everything you need and is intuitive to use and beautiful to look at. Cant wait for THEIA. 10/10 - If you're looking for the best one , you found it . This is the one . Much quieter than my old beltronics and seems to filter out anti collision sensors pretty well. I have observed this detector doing auto lockouts on k band several times already. I am getting an occasional false on GATSO but on KA band, which is pretty in my area it has a pretty decent range head on. It connects to gps quickly, although it does take a few minutes out of the box which is common for any GPS. Display can be set to color of your choice plus you can pick what color it changes to on detection and its band specific, so I set KA band detection to Red. This makes it easy to notice if you are listening to loud music. Do not underestimate this feature. The uniden detectors may have some better features, but they cost more and have tiny hard to read screens! The mount is nice too and it does hold pretty good, but I did order a permanent windshield bracket due to how I wanted to mount it.

Bought last minute before a trip from coastal SE NC to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green KY to use in my 91 Corvette ZR-1. I’ll just say this, the DS1 paid for itself many times over on this trip. It alerted me to about 5 cops shooting radar. Also alerted me to one about 2 miles ahead in the mountains around a blind curve! How it did that I’ll never know, but it was amazing! After returning home ticket free after averaging around 100mph for the entire trip I was a believer! Also noticed that the gps has started learning where all the false alerts are that I drive by daily and is no longer alerting to them which is pretty amazing as well!! My advice would be to anyone who needs a radar detector to just buy the Radenso DS1 and hammer down with confidence that it’s gonna have your back!! Also I purchased the hardwire kit so I could hide the wiring and keep the lighter power socket open for phone charging and Bluetooth adaptor with my factory head unit. Not to mention that the remote button is now conveniently placed on the right of my instrument binnacle for ease of access without having to find the mute button on the detector itself. Btw, the magnet on the suction cup mount is awesome too! Makes for ease of removal for storage in its included case to prevent theft. I’d give the DS1 100 stars if I could, I absolutely love it!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well, it’s been mounted on my motorcycle and a 3-D box enclosure for about eight months and is working great, I would do it again

This is a good detector but was returned for lack of features, pour robotic and mumbling sound, lack of good detection sounds, I couldn’t take the robot sound it drove me crazy, it felt that i am listening to RD-2 from stat war movie in an era that very easy to mimic human sounds.

The Radenso DS1 is the perfect upgrade for my Uniden R4. While the R4 is less expensive, the DS1 outclasses it in range and features. The DS1 has a few things that are upgraded compared to other detectors that might seem like small things, but overall make a really big difference and contribute to a better user experience. Things like the larger display, extra loud speaker, universal mount, and USB C for power are all little things when taken by themselves, but really upgrade the overall package and make it nicer to use. I am a Porsche girl and drive a 991 GTS, and I think the DS1 kind of fits that same philosophy – better experience through delivering on the ”whole package.” Of course, I do have to talk about range. This device warns you of hazards miles and miles in advance, and it does it while really minimizing the annoying false alerts that so many other devices have. With the DS1, I can put it on my windshield and simply enjoy driving without worrying about anything. Finally, the Bluetooth app is great – it doesn’t look very fancy and only support Android (I really wish they would support iOS, but that is coming in the future they said), but it works great to change settings and update firmware without having to hook the DS1 up to a computer. Overall, this is the best choice on the market for someone that values high-performance, great features, and good support.

Do not buy this product. If you want a radar detector go with a well known bigger company that sources quality parts. I went through 4 of these already…yes that’s right 4. The first two were DOA from Amazon. Then because they are so expensive I had to wait for Amazon to actually receive the return to issue a refund that process took 10 plus days. When I got the third replacement it lasted maybe 6 months then dead. I liked its features and idk why but I paid full price for the fourth and that one just died after a year. No rhyme or reason just died. what a waste of hard earned money will never buy a product from this company again. Their warranty is subpar so of course I’m past the time it’s covered and if you look on their website for how long it takes to have them look at it and fix it well let’s just say you might as well just go get another brand while you wait weeks or months. Total trash.

After 1 year in vegas heat the Radar Detector has done well. Worked amazing on long trips with a huge range on highways. So why 3 stars? The screen had a burn in. The screen has not held up well. Overall I’d buy the RD1 again because of the great value and technology. There are many options to set the radar up in a car and the build and detection make it one of the best detectors I’ve owned over the last 30 years. The best was the OG metal redline. This is the second best radar detector range I have tested and owned . Additionally no add one and subscriptions. Hopefully there will be future improvement's with the screen on this one or future releases. Also the magnet mount is a gem for Convienance. Slick design and worked well. USB C and hardwiring kit are a snap. I stand by 3 stars. That’s a real rating well after the honeymoon is over.
