Great book!Reading parts of it kept my kids interested before we travelled to some parts of the country described in the book...

In preparation for going to the beach house over the holiday, the family takes along their metal detectors. Trying to stimulate some interest for the grand children, I sent this book to them. Since they live out of state, I had a phone call from them after it arrived, telling me there is some historical information in it that was perfect for their beach house location. The house sits on the beach, with an inlet on the back, and the article's information revealed that the pirate ships laden with gold sailing the Atlantic, were blown off course and into an inlet where it sank. A map marks the inlet and location. That exact inlet is right behind their beach house. Something they never would have known ! It was great reading with a new outlook toward the vacation. I do recommend the book if just for some historical facts along the Atlantic Coast.
