Miss Jessie's Coily Custard Unisex Emulsion 8.5 oz

I couldn’t wait to write this review because I’m already obsessed with Miss Jessie's Coily Custard after just two days of use! I’ve tried countless curly girl-approved products, but this one has outdone them all. It’s the best I’ve used by far. My curls look shiny, defined, and bouncy without being weighed down. The product creates a nice, soft cast that holds my curls in place but doesn't feel crunchy at all, even though I used a generous amount. Some reviews mention crunchiness, but I haven’t experienced that at all—just soft, moisturized curls with zero frizz. The best part is that it doesn't make my hair heavy or greasy, just perfectly moisturized and full of life. If you're on the hunt for a product that enhances curl definition while keeping hair soft and bouncy, I highly recommend Miss Jessie's Coily Custard!

I’ve always had a VERY difficult time finding products that are specifically designed for curly, fragile, coarse, thin (my hair just started to thin a few years ago) hair such as my own. I’ve tried many, many, product lines over the years only to find myself disappointed. I’ve used expensive hair product lines, spending hundreds of dollars every couple months, only to be disappointed. Let me tell you, you will not find yourself disappointed with Miss. Jessie’s hair product line!! It’s very affordable; it’s great for fragile curls (or any curl type), it smells great, it leaves curls looking hydrated and fabulous. I also use Miss. Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls (another excellent choice, gives a lighter flexible hold to the curl), and Miss. Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls (gives more hold than the Coily Custard, for those hard to manage days, great for hot humid summer days). You can choose to style your hair with a blow dryer & diffuser attachment, or just head out with wet hair and product, and won’t be disappointed with the amazing results. I don’t have to use hair spray again (more money left in my wallet), and I was the Queen of hairspray in my household-nope, no more, not with using Miss. Jessie’s hair product line!! Give it a try!!

I use a gel after applying to really lock it into my curls. I think I'm 2C. Anyway, this stuff rocks for definition and minimizing frizz. I'm in the South so humidity is my roommate. Obviously nothing fully protects you from humidity but I think this does a good enough job with a little support from your preferred gel or hairspray. Super light weight! Runny, aloe vera gel type of texture but thick enough so you know it's going to hang on tight. Try it out for yourself!

One of the only things I know works well with my curly hair.

This is a gel-like consistency, as opposed to some of the other Miss Jessie’s products which are cream-like. I like to use this after using the Multi Cultural Cream to make everything more consistent and smooth. It helps keep moisture in my hair so the mid-day frizz doesn’t happen. It has a slight but pleasant scent to it, and doesn’t leave a residue on your hands when readjusting hair. It comes out a bit fast and you really don’t need much, so just be careful when applying so you don’t waste any excess product.

I want to love it but...I have to use very little of this product. It Def leaves a greasy look/ residue if not worked into the hair. It does leave my hair very soft and curls look good...My hair is about a 3a/b curls. I'm also very sensitive and have noticed it leaves my skin/ scalp itchy including around my face and ears.

My grandson loves it. Says it has made a huge difference to his hair in the first use.

It does make your hair very curly, it really does define your curls, however it makes your hair kind of stiff which I'm not too keen on and it kind of feels gooey before its dried..... it's ok, but if there was a better alternative I would go for that.
