Review: A great little reference - I like Art's books a lot, and this one provides a wealth of useful information on instrument flying, right at your fingertips. This is one of the few books that manages to earn a place in my crowded flight bag. I recently had an instrument checkride, and I was nervous that the DPE would hit me with all sorts of things I wouldn't know off the top of my head. I used this book as a study aid, and I also had it in front of me during the oral exam on the theory that if I got asked something I didn't know, I could do one of those "I think it's XXX, but let me show you how I'd look it up to be sure...". It was a great confidence builder just having this book in my flight bag. Funny thing is that during my checkride, the DPE asked me a few pretty technical questions about true airspeed calculations, bank angles and so forth, and I just happened to know the answers - they were in one of Art's other books. At one point, the DPE said to me, "that's pretty impressive you know this stuff - I ask ATP candidates these questions and usually get a blank stare in return". The checkride got notably easier after that. Thank you, Art. I'd recommend this book to any IFR pilot or student that wants to have a concise summary of instrument flying that fits in the palm of your hand. Review: All right tool - Good tool but forgot when i ordered that this is all based US regs

Nice little reference
I actually bought 3 different handbooks from this collection for my 13 y/o son. He's fascinated with aviation and plays a lot of flight sim. He thinks they're really cool. Lots of quick reference, conversions, adjustments, etc... I don't really know what I'm looking at but he was quite impressed and says he uses them at his desk all the time. I'm sure they were meant for actual pilots, but I guess you don't have to be one!

Short concise
Helped me pass my IFR check ride! And a Nice little review after much time as passed between VFR and IFR flights.

Great distillation of information
Art Parma did a wonderful job of getting down all those little things you once knew, read, studied and memorized....and have now forgotten. It's saved me a lot of time of leafing back through other study guides, the FAR/AIM, etc. to find a simple acronym or memory aid. I'm within a month of taking my instrument check ride and I'm scanning it every night before bed and picking up some important tidbits.
