3D Printer Filament Dryer Box, SH01 Filament Storage, 3D Printer Spool Holder Filament Dehydrator Keeping Filaments Dry During 3D Printing, Compatible with 1.75mm/2.85mm PLA PETG ABS Materials

I’m genuinely impressed with the Comgrow Filament Dryer Box. This thing has completely transformed the consistency of my prints. The large internal storage is perfect — it easily fits two 1kg spools, and I love that it works with both 1.75mm and 2.85mm filaments, including PLA and ABS. The transparent design makes it easy to monitor everything at a glance. The temperature and timer settings are straightforward and reliable. Once you set your drying temp and duration, the box maintains a steady environment that keeps filament perfectly dry throughout long prints. Before using this, I struggled with moisture‑related issues like stringing and poor adhesion. Now my prints come out cleaner, smoother, and far more consistent. The spool holder and feed‑through design make it super convenient to print directly from the dryer, and the build quality feels solid and dependable. It’s clear Comgrow put real thought into usability and performance. If you’re serious about 3D printing, this dryer box is absolutely worth it. It’s one of those upgrades you don’t realize you need until you try it — and then you’ll wonder how you ever printed without it. Highly recommended!

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

This filament dryer is pretty great for the price. It's actually saved a few of my spools from failing to print or just stringing due to moisture, so I can definitely say it works. The interface takes a little time to figure out, but it's not too complicated, and the instructions are very clear. It doesn't feel like any kind of high quality product, though. You definitely get that "cheap, light plastic" feel when you're using it, but for the price it's hard to complain, especially since you don't exactly need to add extra thickness/weight where it's not needed anyways. I do wish this had a specific spot to put dessicant packets though, as that could help with filament drying, and they're not clear about if you could put dessicant packets in the base of the unit or not. I've only used this for PLA filaments so far, but considering it worked for those, I have no doubts it would work for other filament types such as TPU as well.

I recently got my hands on a spool of Comgrow PLA filament, and I've been putting it through its paces on my 3D printer. Overall, I'm impressed with the filament's quality and ease of use, making it a great option for beginners. However, there's one area where it could definitely be improved. Let's dive into the details! Print Quality (9.5/10): This is where the Comgrow filament truly shines. My prints came out incredibly smooth and detailed, with crisp lines and minimal layer lines. The filament fed consistently through my printer's extruder without any clogs or jams, resulting in a professional-looking finish. I was particularly impressed with how well it handled intricate details and overhangs, producing sharp corners and defined features. Sheerness (8/10): The filament boasts a good level of opacity, especially in the darker colors like black and red. While not perfectly opaque, it comes pretty close, and for most projects, it won't be an issue. If you're printing something that requires complete color solidity, you might want to consider a different brand or use a higher infill percentage. Adhesion (3/10): Unfortunately, this is the weakest aspect of the Comgrow filament. I experienced several instances of warping and curling during printing, especially with objects that have a large footprint or lack a strong base. This resulted in some prints lifting off the bed mid-print, causing failed projects. Upping the bed temperature and using a raft or brim helped somewhat, but it wasn't a foolproof solution. Ease of Use (9/10): Despite the adhesion issue, Comgrow filament is generally very user-friendly. It doesn't require any special printing settings and works well with a wide range of temperatures. The filament comes neatly spooled and tangle-free, making loading and unloading a breeze. Additionally, the vacuum-sealed packaging with desiccant helps prevent moisture absorption, ensuring consistent printing performance. Value (8/10): The Comgrow filament is priced competitively in the PLA filament market. Considering the excellent print quality and ease of use, it offers good value for beginners and hobbyists. However, if you require superior bed adhesion for complex prints, you might need to invest in a higher-end filament brand. Overall (8.5/10): Despite the adhesion shortcomings, I would recommend Comgrow PLA filament to anyone starting their 3D printing journey. The exceptional print quality, user-friendly nature, and competitive price make it a great choice for beginners to learn the ropes. However, if you're an experienced user working on intricate projects that demand minimal warping, you might want to look for a brand with stronger bed adhesion properties. Additional Notes: It's important to calibrate your 3D printer for optimal results with any filament brand. This includes fine-tuning settings like nozzle temperature, bed temperature, and printing speed. Experiment with different bed adhesion techniques like using a glue stick, hairspray, or a specialized 3D printing bed adhesive to combat warping with Comgrow filament. If you're new to 3D printing, there are plenty of online resources and tutorials available to help you get started and troubleshoot any adhesion issues you might encounter.

Was initially underwhelmed by this Filament Dryer, but now that i'v been using it for a while, it has done a remarkable job at drying out all of my PLA and PETG and even silica packets that i recharge in it sometimes. The max temp is 50c, and I know some people say you NEED hotter for PETG, but after using this to dry out many spools of PETG now, I can confidently say that this dryer does the job quite well. Water is water, dry it overnight and it all drys away. Just remember to crack open the lid every now and then to let out the "wet" heated air, and don't leave too big of a gap, iv learned that somewhere between half an inch to less than half is the sweet spot. One thing i'v noticed is that the external power brick also gets quite hot, and i'v been tempted to screw it right onto the dryer, to use some of its heat, but i'm no electrician and im sure they separated the power brick for a good reason.

Overall I am pleased, but I want to share how this performs. First off, the design changed a little from the pictures, it now has four holes for filament to feed through. Two on the top , as shown, and now two more on the front. All of the holes have silicone seals to close them off, so this is an improvement. Now for the results of my testing. I put a hygrometer inside the case and graphed the results. The unit dries the filament very slowly, so if you have filament that is very moist, you’ll likely need to run this for days to dry it. I averaged around 0.6 to 0.7% per hour (takes about 4 hours before it starts dropping). So it’s slow and steady, which is not a bad thing. Once you have it fairly dry, it will start absorbing moisture again (even if you don’t open the case). In my tests, once the drying cycle completes, the humidity inside the enclosure will start to gradually increase again. Slower than the drying cycle, but steadily increasing. The case has no openings except for filament holes (plugged for testing) and the joint between the base and lid. The drying is accomplished by heating and a small fan that just circulates the air inside the case (it is not vented to the room). So for the humidity to drop the moisture has to be seeping through the joint between the base and the lid. So when the cycle stops, the reverse starts to occur. Final thoughts: I am not pointing this out as a flaw (I still gave it 5 stars), but rather to help others to understand how the device works/behaves. So now I know that the device will need to be run periodically to maintain the target moisture level in the filament AND that the dryer itself is not a good long term storage box. Once filament is dry and won’t be used for a while, it should be stored in something that is air tight to maintain the proper moisture levels.

It's mostly exactly what you would expect from the listing. However, I'm taking away 2 stars: -1 star for the price relative to the quality and performance and -1 star because the moisture seal is ineffective due to poor design. The box has a gasket channel but the gasket is too small and the lid does not make contact with the gasket at all. So there is a small opening around the entire perimeter which easily lets moisture in over time.

This has truly helped changed the way my 3D prints finish. Wish I would have bought sooner! Just load the right way!! Or it will bind up and pull the warmer off the shelf. Not its fault completely user error!

The Comgrow PLA White Filament is my go-to choice for 3D printing. It's reliable and prints smoothly, whether I'm working on functional parts or creative projects. I've found that using filament from the same company that made my printer ensures the best results. The filament diameter is consistent, which helps prevent jams, and it sticks well to the print bed without warping. The spool is well-packaged, too, so I've never had issues with tangling. Overall, it's a solid option if you're looking for high-quality PLA filament that won't break the bank
