CDI MPEM Ignition Module Box Computer for Sea Doo GTS GTX SP SPI SPX XP 587 1992 1993 1994 278-000-070, 278-000-200 278-000-262, 278-000-413,

Installed on a 1992 seadoo xp that had no spark. The previous module was only 4 years old, so it didn’t seem likely that it was the problem. Replaced the stator and continuity tested everything else. Took a risk and got this module, swapped it in and bam, it started right up. Very happy with the result!!!

This MPEM worked great on our 1994 Seadoo GTS that did not have any spark. All the wires matched up and it only took about 15 minutes to do. One word of advice though. Do NOT remove the eight wires on the old MPEM completely or you will not know where to hook up the eight wires on the new MPEM. There are no instructions so disconnect one wire from the old MPEM and connect the appropriate new wire. Then disconnect the second wire from the old MPEM and connect the appropriate new wire, etc. Each of the eight wires is unique in color and connector so it's easy to do (see photo of original Seadoo MPEM). You will need the two wire extensions included with the kit. They are color coded so attach them to the appropriate color coded wire on the new MPEM.

Sea Doo had no spark, no crank, and blown repeatedly 5 amp fuses. That diagnosis led to replacing this unit. the wiring was a bit of a challenge as it wasn't identical plug & play. But with some common sense deduction and doing the obvious wires first it became apparent where the remaining wires went. The wires plugged in securely and the Sea Doo immediately would crank again and had spark. I was told online not to use these lessor priced replacements but what choice did I have? Its running and I know what wrong with the original and may have the potting dug out and the diode replaced that failed.

Fixed no spark on my 1993 GTS ski. Wires are the same color for this year, but not in the same spot. connectors arent too great on the module but i made due. fired up after. works good.

This unit plugged right in and worked! Only thing I'd mention is to swap wire for wire from the original as a couple wires aren't the same colour.

Replacing the electronic module with this product solved all of my rev limiting issues on my 92 SP. Replacing it was fairly quick since this has all of the necessary connections (no soldering needed) and also matching wire colors compared to the original.

Wires not the same color as oem. Didn't come with schematic so I'm still trying to guess how to hook up. I hope the fuses protect my wrong guesses!

Fit prefect in my 92 seadoo. Boyfriend said it wasn’t to hard to install & he’s even color blind. Only giving 4 because I haven’t taken it out on the water, but have heard it run with it in. Little scared to see if it holds up while having it out.
