ECCO Men's, Soft 7 City Sneaker

I love the feel, looks, and wear of these shoes ... into 2nd pair. BUT - as with first pair, the sole at tip of both shoes came loose quickly, in case of the 2nd pair even withing days ... something is badly conceived here. And I am not sliding my feet across the asphalt, for sure ... major drawback that has me rethink ever buying another pair.

Really like these shoes. The leather seems high quality - Scuffs easily, but in my opinion, a little leather wear adds to the look (and buffs out easily if you want.) I have the cognac version, which is a rich reddish-brown color. Super comfortable after the adjustment noted below. Outsole seems durable and has good traction. Insole is supportive. (I usually replace my shoes' insoles with more supportive ones, but I didn't need to with these). A couple of notes - As others have mentioned, scuffs on the white soles are almost impossible to get out. I have to use a magic eraser which gets the soles mostly clean - and they look sharp enough to my eyes. However, if you wear them regularly, don't expect them to ever look as bright and clean as when they arrive. I'd love to see this model with a black sole. - There is a small hotspot I noticed when I first got them on the inner foot where two seams align with the lace. I reversed the lace direction and that fixed the issue.

Ecco is just the most comfortable shoe out there...High quality! I have several pairs of shoes, all excellent!

I wear mine to work regularly and casually. They are great for casual dressy occasions. They are comfortable, even when doing a fair amount of walking. I found they run big, I had to send them back and go down a full size. The laces are very long, but that's a minor personal preference thing. So far they seem to be well made and holding up.

Living in a city like New York where you walk 90% of the time to most destinations makes it hard on both feet and shoes. I've tried just about every major sneaker maker and all of them are too narrow, too flat, or just don't hold up well after time. This is my first pair of ECCO shoes and at first I was a little weary about the price but decided to try them after reading reviews in many places. I was delighted to find that there was almost no "break in" period. They were immediately comfortable and have maintained that. Plus they look really nice. The "cognac" color was a little darker than the pictures but I liked it. Love the feeling of the quality leather feel of the shoe itself. I've gotten a few compliments on them already!

Love the look of this shoe and how I can comfortably wear it during a business meeting or on a long walk. However, after several uses I began to notice pain in my middle toes on each foot. Soon after, those same toes would hurt every time I walked with this shoe on. When walking, the front of the shoes bends as it should but the hard fabric on the toe would bubble downward when it bent directly into my middle toes causing them to bruise! Too bad I'm past the return period or these would be going right back to Amazon.

Comfortable fit right out of the box. Immediately wore for a multi-day, heavy walking trip in hilly San Francisco and no blisters/issues whatsoever. Cap toe is a little dressier than some casual shoes. Works great for business casual lite.

First I love Ecco shoes. Ecco is like an exclusive club that well anyone can get in to, but few know exists. If you're looking for some of the most comfortable, well made and stylish shoes than Ecco should be on your list to check out. I've been wearing them since my Chirpopractor recommended them to me back in the early 2000's and man what can I say. I have never had a pair (over 100 pairs now) that has not felt broken in and the most comfortable thing I have ever put on my feet from the very first day I wear a new pair. They always look good with jeans, a suit, shorts you name it. This pair which I know looks black above in the photo is really dark navy blue. Yeah, but that makes them even better. So far I have worn them to 2 formal occasions, 3 theatre events and out to dinner numerous times. They have also filled in for my daily office shoe a few times, to allow me to transition quickly from Office to Errand Guy. Seriously you have to check them out, you won't regret it, I'm positive about that.

I have not used them extensively, but they are very comfortable and soft in the leather. The sizing is accurate, maybe even towards the large size - but stick to your normal shoe size and you'll be fine. Colour of shoe on the picture (brown) is accurate.
