let me start by saying I’M NOT A HAIR PROFESSIONAL. However, I’ve been coloring my own hair for the last 15 years. My hair is naturally very dark brown almost black and currently my hair is light ash blonde. This is what I use to lighten my roots, it does not burn me as long as I do a 2:1 ratio developer and I use Ion sensitive scalp which I think is also great. I recommend this to anyone that has dark hair and wants to go blonde but do want to make clear I am by no means a professional and this is what works for my hair.

We love this lightener in our home. Our first purchase was in store so our 2nd purchase was here, sadly it came damaged. Not sellers fault so still giving this product 5⭐️s. My daughter has thick, Asian, curly (3a/3b) hair and we do the 2:1 develor:lightener ratio. We were scared of it damaging her hair the first time we ever bleached her hair so we only left it on for 30 minutes so it only lifted her hair to a light brown. But it after washing it did not feel damaging at all. No burning and gentle. I know its a rule not to bleach on top of bleach 😬 but when we did it again (2:1, 30 minutes) a month later, it came out platinum blonde. Honestly, it did damage it (not too terribly) 😂 so dont do it!

I’ve been using this product for years and it continues to be a superior bleaching product. I’m naturally a dirty blonde and this stuff works phenomenally to get my hair white. If you use a developer above 20, I recommend putting some coconut oil on your scalp to protect it. definitely follow up with a good purple toner, joico bubble shampoo seems to be the best continuously good quality product. I found so far for toning my hair.

Best bleach out there. Not damaging & easy to use!

I am not by any means a professional, but I've been doing my own hair for 10 years, and this is my go-to lightener. Like I LOVE this stuff. It's gentle on the scalp, lifts quickly, and has never damaged my hair or scalp, even when I've made mistakes and get bleach on my pre-lightened hair! (Which I don't recommend doing). I can't say if it lifts to level 10 by itself without toner, but it definitely lifts to level 8-9 and creates a perfect canvas for color.

Works like a charm. Got this for a project. It worked great. I think it works best with the coordinated developer (ion Sensitive scalp), and with a 10 developer it's quiet lovely. I honestly prefer the 20 developer for a faster speed. But tomato/tomatos. No burn, low smell, no run, and no irritation. Perfecto! Good stuff.

I saw a few reviews saying people put this product in their hair and it did nothing. I guess they didn’t read the directions cuz you have to use this with developer. I use a 20v and mix at a ratio of 1:2 (1 part lightener: 2 parts developer). Takes about 40 mins and my roots are blonde and ready for my vibrant blue hair dye application.
