Absolutely brilliant solution that adds modern day features to an older car, I had installed flip camera and had it working via an external CarPlay add on but it wasn’t stable enough to use properly, I tried many solutions before buying this product including raspberry pi running android and using a CarPlay usb fob but this android stereo has everything you need in one box to make this work without all the complications you face when trying to do this yourself, CarPlay for example (Apple has the protocol under wraps, it’s hard to create any thing that works with CarPlay), CarPlay is stable and works amazingly well, the included canbus adaptor successfully decodes all signals and displays things like air con, heated seats, fan settings etc perfectly and the password for the factory menu is included so you can make changes that are not possible when buying other solutions. My reverse camera now works perfectly and the display for the parking sensors is much better than the stock setup, shows you sensor distance. Should have brought this way sooner! You do need an extra usb adapter to use DAB but was simple enough to use! Recommend!

I fitted this to my Skoda Octavia 2009. The radio is really good but it was very frustrating working out the problems and issues it brought along. On my car I have to disconnect the battery to restart the radio to see changes I made because pressing the reset button didn't do this. I didn't know this from the start so trying to work out why nothing was changing was frustrating. Trying to get it to recognise the sim card I added requires a restart so that was fun trying to work out why it wasn't working. Again pull the battery cable to make it work. The instructions to fit this don't exist so I used Gemini ai to help out which only goes so far. The canbus didn't work to begin with. I had to change the type on factory settings. Type 2 and 3 worked but 0 and 1 did nothing. I added dab+ and a camera and it all works well. But the glass aerial was poor. I changed the roof aerial for a dab+ one and it fixed all that. The internal microphone isn't any good either as it pics up everything instead of just voice so I had to use an external microphone mounted on the a pillar. I really like it otherwise and it's modernised my car so much. If you don't already know what to do fitting and setting these radios up you are in for a steep learning curve.

Installation instructions are pretty bad, luckily I know what I'm doing....most of the time. That said, I love this head unit. It brings life back to an old car. This is the second Xtrons I have bought, one for my sons car and another for my daughters. I really like the dash cam integration. Paired it with a cheap VW flip reversing camera from AliExpress no probelms at all.

Doesn’t connect all the time. Doesn’t work well with my 2011 vw built in phone system. When it works it’s great. But it’s hit and miss Would I buy one for another car. No

With the Snapdragon processor - the operation is very smooth, came with the VW canbus so the steering wheel controls work including displaying the parking sensors / when you open the doors/boot. Installed the aftermarket apps and the screen is fantastic for videos. Connected the Xtrons OBDII that displays the car diags on screen - I have had a couple of cheaper Andriod Units in the car - this is unbeatable - better that the Kenwood and Pioneer one I had by a mile - the screen is bigger than the branded ones - You wont be disappointed

Having a broken stereo in my van for over 6 months, anything that works would get 5🌟 but I’m really impressed with this system. Going from a bog standard VW Stereo to having Apple play, Google maps, YouTube, Netflix, Alexa and numerous digital radio stations, I’m certainly very impressed. Hopefully it lasts…🤞🏼🤞🏼
