Socks are perfect for me. Right length and they are not too tight. Unlike the Wrangler brand that come clear up past my knees and are too tight on my feet.. the Wrangler brand is supposed to be for cowboy boots, but I don’t have any cowboy boots that come up clear past my knees. Maybe wrangler socks would be good for the above the knee black biker boots California Highway Patrol wears..

I love them. Good material, they last a lot. I always get them in blue as I work in jeans.

Despite the fact that many people wear denim with athletic shoes, lightweight hiking boots etc. for casual outdoor wear, it's nearly impossible to find matching dark blue athletic socks that you might want to wear in those circumstances. Although Dickies doesn't describe these navy blue "essential worker" socks as athletic socks, some reviewers have indicated that they are a good choice for such use. While the color works fine with jeans and I bought them hoping to use them in such a manner, I was disappointed and returned them. Here's why: 1 - Insufficient Cushioning: Unlike true athletic socks, there's not much additional cushioning under the foot. Yes, they're heavier all around then typical dress or casual socks, but they don't approach the cushioning of true athletic socks. 2 - Sub-par Moisture Absorption: This is an important feature of athletic socks. While I was optimistic that the high cotton content of these socks would offer good performance in that regard, the feel of the knit didn't suggest that they would provide good absorption. 3 - Not as Soft as Typical Athletic Socks: I wear both pure synthetic (some combination of polyester / nylon / spandex) and high cotton content athletic socks. Both types can feel quite soft and comfortable. Unfortunately these socks felt a bit cheap, clingy and rough, like the worst rather than the best of both worlds. Had I not known it, I would never have guessed that the navy blue "essential worker" version of this Dickies sock line has a particularly high cotton content. All in all, while the color works great with jeans and I don't doubt that they would be long wearing and appropriate for delivery people etc. who are on their feet a lot, I would not recommend them for use as the equivalent of an athletic sock.
