Tomcat Mole Killer(a) - Mimics Natural Food Source, Kills with a Single Feeding, Mole Killer for Lawns and Yards, 10 Worm Baits

My husband has been fighting the mole problem for 13 years now. Bought this and no more moles. It took maybe Three attempts but it’s been two months and no sign of runs.

It worked! The moles will dig exit holes and cover them with a layer of dirt. I dug the dirt layer out with a table spoon, drop the worn in the hole and place a rock over the open hole. Next morning, lift the rock and the hole is again covered by a layer or dirt. I would remove the dirt, and the worm was gone. After 6 worms, they stopped covering the holes and the 7th worm is still in the hole.

I swear, moles have been the bane of my lawn for years. They seem to pop up new tunnels right after I knock down the old ones. I decided to try the Tomcat Mole Killer after reading that it actually looks and feels like their natural food (earthworms), and applying it was super easy. You just poke a hole in the active tunnel and drop a piece in. The good news is, I definitely saw a drop-off in new activity immediately. My usual daily tunnel patrol turned into a weekly one, which is a huge win in my book. The fact that it's designed to kill in a single feeding gives me some confidence that I'm actually dealing with the problem, not just shifting it down the lawn. Now, for full disclosure, I hit the button on this pretty late in the season, probably later than I should have. The ground is getting colder and they're slowing down anyway. So, while things look quieter now, the true test will be next spring. If I open the season tunnel-free, this stuff is getting five stars. For now, it’s a solid win for how easy it was to use and the instant slowdown in tunneling.

UPDATE FEBRUARY 2025: I had a friend tell me that she cuts the worms in half which doubles the number of worms you can put down. So I tried that and I was able to find 2 dead moles within 3 days of each other. So cutting them in half not only gives you a larger area to cover, but saves you money as well!! We have lived in our house for over 25 years and never had an issue with moles/voles until 2 summers ago. Then all of a sudden we start seeing mole trails everywhere. We purchased and tried everything on the market to try and get rid of these moles. Nothing we bought worked. We even purchased the very expensive ultrasonic solar powered spikes that are supposed to scare the moles away. The moles actually made tunnels all around every single one of the spikes. Like they were laughing at our attempt! Finally, a friend told me about these worms. I didn't think something so simple and so easy-to-use would work but I was desperate to get rid of them so I decided to give them a try. I bought one box of ten and put them in the areas that we noticed the trails. We did notice a decline in activity but still were getting fresh tunnels. So I purchased another box and used all ten worms in the areas of the fresh tunnels. We never had a new tunnel after that. I think we had to use a second box because I believe there were more than one mole. Last year about this time (June) we noticed a fresh tunnel. I put down ten more worms and didn't have any issues for the rest of the summer. Last week, we noticed a new tunnel. I had five worms left from last summers purchase. I put those five down and the very next morning, there was a dead mole exactly on top of one of the places I had put the worm down! Less than 24 hours. Plus the worms had been in our garage all year long opened. But they evidently didn't lose any of their potency. If you read the directions or watch the video, you probably think that is too much work to try to figure out where you should put the worms. I have never went thru all of that. I always put the worms in what ever fresh trails I see. I don't look for their "traveling" trails. I put it in the short trails or long trails. As long as it's a fresh trail and it does the job. So you don't have to wait and watch the trails over 2 or 3 days like they tell you to in the instructions. If you see a trail, stick a worm in it and it works! So glad my friend told me about these. I won't be using anything else. Now if I can find something that works this well on my ant infestation outside!

When I bought this house 11 years ago, trying to kill the moles was a daily chore. I resisted buying these worms because of the cost. I have used these for several years now and only have the occasional mole come from neighboring property. I use a trowel to open a small hole in the run, insert about 1/3 of a worm in various parts of the runs, cover the holes, and then leave them alone. Make sure you put it in the run or it won't work! If new runs appear, which is not common, treat them the same way. After 2 or 3 days I flatten the runs. That is it until another appears. I have tried the traps, and they sometimes work, but not as affectively as the worms. I have tried other worms but they did not seem as effective.

Ordered 2 boxes. One box was good, but 2nd box worms were totally melted down. Had to open packs trying to find a good one. Must return almost empty box for this reason. Hope I get refund/ replacement requested. Kept in the house where it was cool as well. Too expensive for this to happen.

Nothing against the product, but you are guessing if you killed any moles. You just have to wait to see if you have any more tunnels or mounds. I do "believe" I killed one though.

They worked! Been having a momentous battle. Tried traps and deterrents, then research said these most effective. Ive got 2 left as they come in packets of 2 with several packets in the box. I have the following advice: 1) It is usually only one critter so just use one packet at a time, ie 2 worms dropped in the tunnel along a run with some distance between. I tried chopping them and they did not work so well. You really don't need that many. I used a flat, wide tent peg, made a hole along a run, dropped whole worms in run in 2 locations and plugged up the hole to get rid of tell tale light. 2) Don't forget it takes 48 hours to show if it has worked. 3) First time another mole came within days so I repeated the process. Ive Ben mole free for weeks in their breeding season of February. Relief/1 If anyone feels too sorry to poison them, it might help to know how they treat the worms. They squeeze and bash them to extract the soil before finishing them off for dinner!

So many good reviews. I should of listened to the negatives. Planted 6 of these worms in different areas of the garden. I used gloves, without gloves, covered my hands in dirt, used all sorts of different approaches not to let the mole think they were a trap. Nothing worked. All he's done is go mad and make even more holes. Utter useless rubbish waste of time and money.

I followed the instructions and found this to be very effective in the removal of moles from my lawn. I placed one worm in a tunnel that was used by the mole and within 48 hours the molehills stopped appearing.

I have tried "vibrators", chemical repellent, alcohol, urine, and now poison. Well, this product arrived promptly in good condition and was easy to use. Something is digging holes in my garden and leaving large and small lumps of earth all over my lawn - it sure seems like a mole, but I haven't seen it yet, so maybe it isn't a mole and is resistant to these poison-laced worms, for after 3 days of putting the worms deep into the holes, there are still new large molehills today; so it seems so far not to have worked. UPDATE: one week after using 6 worms at once, there was no activity at all and this has lasted now for 7 days. So it has worked - and it maybe just was a question of increasing the dose and waiting for the poison to slowly work?
