I’ve tried water filter pitchers over the years, and I also own a water distiller. Out of all of them, I prefer the taste of the water from this system the most — and that surprised me. This is also the most affordable long-term option I’ve used. It requires no electricity, which I really appreciate. My tap water is hard and tastes pretty gross, so I can immediately tell when a filter actually makes a difference. The water from this tastes clean and smooth, without the flat or strange taste I sometimes get from distilled water. I’m a frugal person, and I like things that work without constant upkeep or energy use. This just sits on the counter and does its job. I feel much better drinking this than straight tap water, and the taste alone makes it worth it for me. Overall: If you’ve tried pitchers or distillers and still aren’t happy with the taste, this is absolutely worth trying. It’s simple, reliable, and has become my go-to for daily drinking water. Update after continued use: I’m still using this daily and still love it just as much as when I first got it. The taste has stayed consistently clean and smooth, and it’s become part of my routine. ✨updated to add..The only thing I wish it had is a small window or way to easily see the water level without opening it — that would make it even more convenient. But overall, it’s been reliable and absolutely worth it for me.

I wish I had ordered this water filtration system sooner. We love the clean, sweet taste of the water it produces. We are a family of 2 and this system produces a lot more water than we thought it would from the first day we set it up. I highly recommend this system. The city water where we live is full of some sort of white chalky stuff, tastes bad, smells bad and has way too many chemicals. This water system is the next best thing to distilled water. The Purewell system makes the water taste even better than store-bought water in plastic bottles. Give it a try. If your city or well water is as nasty as what we have here, you will be so happy you took the chance to try this Purewell Water Filtration System. We are happy we chose to buy it and are enjoying the clean, sweet water we now are able to drink. We are very happy customers of the Purewell Water Filtration System.

We live off grid in Alaska. We needed a way to purify our creek water. We were in between this product and a Berkey. Researched and compared, and this water filter 'filters' more than a Berkey for 1/3 the price. We've been using it for over 3 months and love it. The water in Alaska has a brown tinge due to the taking from the trees, and the Purewell, strips the water and it comes out crystal clear. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants a non-electric way to filter their water. We also have an electric water filter, but when you're off grid and counting watts in the winter (solar power), this is an excellent back up for us. Highly recommend.

It filters water well, water tastes great, and it is attractive. I did have to buy a countertop Reverse Osmosis filtratio system a year later because this Purewell, from what I have read, doesn't filter out GenX or PFAS, which are in our drinking water in NC where I live. However, I use the Purewell to wash fruit/veggies because the RO is small. I will keep it for hurricanes when the power goes out because the RO system I have needs electricity.

At first, the water had an unpleasant metallic taste even after I had back flushed the filters (per the instructions), spoke with customer service and they suggested that I back flush the filters again, that helped, so I did it one more time and then that taste was gone, now, I'm on my 4th fill and the taste keeps improving and am satisfied with it now. I had been getting 3 5 gal bottles delivered to the tune of $65 per month for water, so now, after the cost of purchase I am saving quite a bit of cash. I did keep 2 of the 5 gallon bottles and bought the dispenser / cooler and set up the spigot on the filter with a hose attachment that allows me to just drain the filtered water directly into the 5 gallon bottles.
