Mega-Mag, 400 mg

I have tried so many different kinds and forms of magnesium, trying to find one that works and I keep coming back to this. I take it at night as it certainly helps with sleep, but it also helps with muscle cramps and keeps my magnesium levels in normal range. It tastes horrible, there is no way around that. However, I have found lemon lime Gatorade can almost completely mask the taste and oddly, the fruit punch flavor works pretty well too. Any lemon or lime flavored drink helps quite a bit, but because sports drinks are already formulated to mask the taste of their mineral ingredients, they work best. I recommend giving this magnesium a try if you are struggling with deficiency, it certainly did the trick for me.

Great product! Calming mag that lasts and lasts

This taste terrible but I just put it in a little bit of water.Swig it and then have something like chocolate milk or yogurt or peanut butter after it I have. Tried many other brands and pills.And because it's liquid.I think my body digests it better.I sleep better and it helps my mood.If I do it consistently I take it at like seven at night

I bought this after trying the Trace Minerals magnesium. If I took that product before bed I was out pretty quick so I knew it was working. Thinking Mega-Mag would be better I ordered the three pack. Well, it still works but it gives me horrible gas, I man bad, bad, uncomfortable gas. I'd return what's left if I could. Never had anything like this before from a supplement. Since I can't return it I've quit for a few days and I'm now building up to this adding two drops per day hoping my system will adjust with the small increases. 4ml is 64 drops so this could take a while. Yes, this stuff is certainly not good tasting but adding it to some water or other liquid helps a lot to thin it out. (Update). After about a month I guess my system finally adjusted to this. No more gas or bloating. I'm pretty happy with this product now. Highly recommend.

We have used this product for years and love it!

I get frequent migraines and also had been having some issues with muscle cramping and fatigue. I read that migraines could potentially be caused by magnesium deficiency so I thought I'd give this stuff a try. Since taking it regularly I've seen my migraines reduced in both frequency and severity. My migraines are also sinus triggered, so a combination of this supplement and regular Neti Pot use has been making a huge difference. The only time I've had a serious migraine once since I started using this and it's because I didn't take any for a week. I was travelling and hadn't secured the bottle so it all leaked out. After 7 days of not taking any supplement, I had a 2 day long migraine. When I started, I took 200 mg in the morning and 100 mg at night. If I took more than that I'd have diarrhea (a sign you're taking too much). Now I mostly take 200 mg in the morning and I will occasionally take an additional 100 mg dose if I feel like I need it. Don't take this stuff straight, it's not meant to be consumed that way. I either mix 2-3 T of orange juice with my dose, or I squirt 100 mg into at least 16 oz of water. If it tastes too strong in the water, add some lemon juice. The stuff doesn't taste great which is why you need to add it to something. The only downside is this stuff is tough to travel with. I've had to seal travel sized bottles with electrical tape to make sure they don't leak. I would love to find a travel sized glass bottle that this stopper lid would fit on!

Review for Trace Minerals Mega-Mag - Liquid Magnesium Supplement for Vitality & Energy Support. I started with one drop and only took it occasionally to see how I would handle it. I bumped up to 5 drops in 20 oz of water a day. After a few days I noticed some dizziness. I didn't make the connection at first. Then the stomach issues started. This morning I got up feeling fine but wondered about my symptoms so I put only 2 drops of this in my water. I drank half the water and I have been miserable all day. I looked it up and my symptoms can be caused by this. I can only imagine how I'd feel if I hadn't cut back or started taking the full dose that's on the bottle!! The only things that helped me was some peppermint, but I still feel like I've burned the inside of my intestines. I will not be taking any more supplements without first talking it over with my doctor. Supplements can be very dangerous if not needed, and some people can be sensitive.
