Amazing product that actually works as marketed.
This actually works! Doesn't change the coffee taste or smell. A tiny packet of product does an amazing job. Acid reflux is not a problem after coffee, for me, anymore.

Lower the Acid Without Lowering The Taste -Great If You Have Acid Sensitivity
I need to be on a low-acid diet, but I love my coffee and tea. I have found low-acid coffee on Amazon, that is surprisingly good. However, when I am out and about or go to a restaurant for a meal, I have my packets of Coffee Tamer handy. Just stir it in and it makes coffee drinking safe with no added aftertaste. We also use it with tomato sauce and I am happily eating Italian dishes again!

Works . . . just Overpriced, I think
This product works for me. As a coffee lover, I kept looking for solutions online to curb my intolerance of the acid. I found that if I took a Prilosec, chewed 2 Beano tablets, added a little baking soda and a dash of salt to the coffee, swallowed a big gulp of heaving whipping cream just before drinking, and took sips of water between sips of coffee, I could drink half a cup every other day with minimal discomfort. When I discovered this product, I didn’t dare try it “cold turkey,” but eliminated the aforementioned precursors one by one. Yesterday I was down to just the gulp of whipping cream and some water at intervals. I was able to enjoy a full cup with no side effects or pain. Today was my first solo cup of coffee with my usual Cremora but with no precursors or water intervals. I am a little uncomfortable...a little bloated, a little heartburn...but so far, not the usual “I think I may die” kind of stomach cramping. I will likely go back to at least one precursor, but it is still nice to be able to have a full cup of coffee daily. I also used it for a tomato-based vegetable soup, and it worked nicely in the soup as well. While you cannot taste the product itself, it does change the taste of the food. It greatly reduces the tang of the tomatoes, for example, and removes the acrid taste of the coffee...the latter is an improved taste, making the coffee smoother. I have mixed emotions about my preference in the tangy taste of tomatoes, but can attest that there is no actual bad taste from the product itself. So functionally, it is a great product. However, it is quite pricey. It recommends two packets per cup or food item (each packet contains about a pinch of product). The cost of adding product is several times the cost of brewed (not K-cup) coffee or about 50 cents per cup. Doesn’t sound like much, but to put that in perspective, a couple having at two cups of acidic food or beverage a day would add more than $60 a month to their monthly food bill. The highest group being intolerant of acidic foods is senior adults, and that kind of hit can be hard on many with a fixed incomes. Note that I am in no way condemning the developer...new products are expensive to bring to market. I’m just saying for many household, it may be cost prohibitive.

Works with any coffee
This is a great help for folks who have problems with acid in their coffee. Not only stomach problems, but also voice problems. SInger or speakers. Acid causes phlegm, and voice becomes unclear. Thy used be restricted to low acid coffee. Which is not always available. Now just open of these bags into you coffee, and it's a new world out there. I recommend that everyone try this once, you coffee will taste much smoother. I just bought 2 more packs to take with me overseas

It works!
Coffee Tamer has made a noticeable difference for me. It helps reduce the acidity in my coffee, which has really helped with my acid reflux. I can finally enjoy my morning coffee without the discomfort I used to get afterward. It’s easy to use and doesn’t change the flavor of the coffee, which was important to me. Definitely a helpful product if you’re sensitive to acidic coffee.

not great, expensive
works ok but not absolutely. is expensive, does not dissolve, adds a slight taste. I am just going to take a 500 mg calcium carbonate tablet before or after drinking coffee.

Absolutely worth it if you can spare a ~minute of prep
I was super skeptical of this stuff when I first got it, but I'm really happy to say that this sh actually works. I'm a big-time coffee drinker, all day every day for the past 15 years, but started having painful reflux and other stomach problems early 2025 whenever I had coffee/spicy or acidic foods. I tried cutting out coffee entirely and literally got depressed, I love it so much. I tried low-acid blends, decaffeinated low-acid blends, cold brew, decaf cold brew... it didn't matter, it would all trigger stomach pain. Trying this stuff honestly felt like wishful thinking that I would really ever be able to drink coffee again. But fkn a. It worked. One little packet in a cup of coffee and it was just like old times, no pain or reflux afterwards. Don't make fun of me, but giving up coffee was kind of devastating and my quality of life has gone up being able to follow my normal daily coffee routine without feeling like I need to go to the hospital. Super stoked to have found this product. Some caveats (only reason I'm taking off one star - I want to give the company honest feedback in case there's a possible fix for it): - It doesn't dissolve like *amazingly*. The powder sometimes comes out a bit clumpy and it tends to float around on top for a bit, where it can get stuck to the sides of the mug/cup and then gunks up there if you don't scrape it back into the liquid. From my experience, it seems to have a harder time dissolving in hot liquids vs cold, which is a little unexpected but I'm not a scientist, so. The packaging says to stir for 20 seconds, but it's not really enough to get it fully dissolved. The best way I've found is to dump it in (and try not to get it on the sides/walls of the cup or on the straw if you've got one cuz it likes to stick) and let it sit for like a 30 sec - 1 minute. It sinks to the bottom and starts "softening up", the clumps disintegrate and it's much easier to stir in without it globbing up on the spoon/straw. It will continue to slowly sink back down to the bottom of the cup until it's allllllll dissolved in, but at this point it isn't clumpy and stirs around easily, so not a big deal for me. - If you don't make sure the powder has dissolved well, you can encounter some gross textural experiences with it. For example- I typically have iced coffee/cold brew with a straw, and failing to wait for it to soften up and disintegrate at the bottom of the cup leads to gritty sips. If it's still floating on top in an open cup/mug, sandy mustache. So make sure to give it a little time and attention to get it dissolved properly. But thankfully it doesn't taste like anything imo, so nothing more than some unexpected, slightly disturbing texture. All in all, great product. Makes coffee drinkable again. Doesn't have any taste to screw with it. Can be dissolved well with a little extra time+care. I've even mixed it into tomato sauces (another irritant for my stomach) and noticed it helped considerably without messing up the recipe in the slightest. I love the little packets, even if they're kind of expensive they feel worth it. I keep a handful of them in my purse for whenever I might need one and I offer them out to people to try all the time. I highly recommend this stuff, no reservations.
